So it's not examples you're after, it's the demented thrill you must think you'll get by making me personally do the legwork. Nope. An excellent example has already been provided. If it's examples you want, you've got one.

Or were you lying about having any interest in examples of "progressive" (Statist) groups getting the rubber stamp of approval while conservative and libertarian groups got targeted for burdensome bureaucracy?

Yes, it is. One example =/= "examples."

Why are you so reluctant to defend every single point you make? Are you really a mole from DU sent here to bring the Stupid?

Really. Fine. More examples discussed here.

Now, here's where you have a choice to make: Do you read the article, accept the examples and concede what the IRS itself already has conceded... or do you prove that I was right and you've been doing your usual dance this whole time?

    Your call.

Thank you for the links but, once again, you've either deliberately or obtusely misconstrued what I posted.

I said "Show me which examples you're basing your opinion on." Nowhere did I say "no such examples exist."

Why it took you so long to present them is the real mystery. It was almost as if you didn't believe they existed yourself.

No mystery to it at all. You're not fucking me, feeding me or funding me, so I have no obligation to satisfy you in any way.

You do realize that you just said that's what it's about. You dance any more frantically, you're bound to give yourself whiplash. Slow it down.

No. I said there's a mystery. You're denying that there is.

But, come to think of it, you're right. There's no mystery to what you're doing. There's still a question of why you're doing it, and that comes down to (a) what you think you're accomplishing and (b) what you actually are.

Then again, it's great, really. Keep up the good work. Maybe you can be as wrong as Karl Rove someday.

Now, be your predictable self and clip everything except "you're right" when you quote my post.

Wasn't that group applying for a 501(c)3? Maybe the tea party groups should have done the same thing, but instead they filed for 501(c)4, which forbids political activities. Look, the IRS confirmed that they used questionable filtering criteria, but it doesn't appear that they denied legitimate applications. Maybe somebody can explain to me why a Tea Party group would apply for status as a social welfare agency, prohibited from engaging in political activism. I'd be suspicious of that, who wouldn't?

I hate the fucking IRS.

They made Willie Nelson have to rebuild his life and career from sizzling rubble, and they tried their damnedest with George Carlin, except his manager was/is a genius.

As game-changing scandals go, this is pretty dismal. It's got more teeth than Benghazi, but so does my 100 year old grandfather.

True, this one is only mostly pathetic, whereas BenghaziGate and SubpoennaGate are 100% nonsense.

Anybody who fucks with Willie Nelson is a goddamn villain. I don't mean the movies, that's just art imitating life.

    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2013/...RS-letter-that-ignited-Tea-Party-nbsp-outrage

The fact is Democratic groups received the exact same requests for more information as Republican groups but where as all the Republican groups were granted tax exempt status one Democratic group was actually denied. Further more the real scandal is that the law, AS WRITTEN, says political groups can't get tax exempt status under 501.c.4 as those must be "EXCLUSIVELY" for social welfare groups not political groups. In 1959 the IRS clarified that they interpreted the world "exclusively" to mean primarially which is obviously wrong so just enforce the law and deny tax exempt status to ALL political groups and the problem of bias goes away. Not that one even exists right now since the IRS did this to both left and right wing groups.

You're either cataclysmically uninformed, a complete moron, or a liar.

Oh my lord, how can this be still going on?

The fuckers admitted they did it and people are dancing all over the place to pretend they didn't?

Why the hell would the IRS of all agencies, admit the wrongdoing and apologize if they in fact didn't do anything?

    This is ridiculous!

Huh. So you'd prefer to have an Obamabrella thread. What's her it like when people you disagree with fail to adhere to your narrow parameters?
