Bah. Big Ten is down this year. Strength of schedule being what it is, they likely wouldn't even make a 4-team playoff if we had one this year if Baylor were to go unbeaten as well....

If Oregon loses to Stanford on Thursday, OR Alabama loses to LSU Saturday.. It could work out for them.

Anyone can have a bad Saturday. But, sadly, I don't see Bama losing to anyone during the regular season.

If Bama loses, you may end up getting your wish of the Buckeyes making the BCS Championship...but you'll wish they didn't by the end of it. Because Florida State would absolutely CRUSH them!

Well we've arrived at what constitutes a gauntlet in the Big XII this year. At Texas, then Baylor and Oklahoma at home. Time to see if we're any good.

@Larry you don't actually think that Ohio State is a contender do you? The B1G is a joke, you understand this right?

You just keep thinking that.. 12-0 last year, STILL undefeated.. I'd put them against ANY team in the NCAA, Even Alabama.

It's pretty easily to go 12-0 when you're playing the College of the Little Sisters of the Blind every week...I wouldn't go bragging about that if I were THE Ohio State.

Have you even looked at Buckeyes Schedule? Your full of SHIT, Half the teams you root for would NEVER last in the Big 10. Who have your teams played? Kentucky? Wake Forest? Alabama St? Big tough teams. The reason the buckeyes play easy teams in the beginning of the year is NOBODY else will play them. Only Miami, Fla accepted. LSU and Alabama refused saying it wasnt in their best interest.

Who has Ohio State played, Wisconsin? Face it, the Big 10 is a weak league. I'm not rooting for Baylor, in fact I hope my Pokes beat them, but compare that schedule to Baylor, who will have beaten FOUR ranked teams if they win out. FOUR. That's more ranked teams than the entire B1G has in the polls. I'll admit that my team isn't that great, so I'm hoping we get another Big 10 cupcake in our bowl game.

    First of all...you're* :grammarnazi:

Secondly, I root for Mizzou, who must play Kentucky because of their conference affiliation. Just like my other examples (no rooting interest, just observational) of Florida State and Baylor must play Wake Forest and Kansas, respectively. And that's pretty much the point...the bulk of a team's schedule is made up of conference opponents, and the Big Ten is WEAK this year. Baylor would easily be at least the second-best team in the B1G this year, and Florida State would be without a doubt on top if they were there. Even Mizzou would likely be playing in the B1G championship game if they were in that conference. To deny any of those scenarios is to just be ignorant of the present state of college football.

FWIW, though, Mizzou did play a non-conference game against a B1G school this year. They beat Indiana 45-28. Once the Buckeyes play IU on Nov 23rd, we'll finally be able to compare apples to apples.

And finally, Mizzou is 9-1, and their only loss was in double OT to a Top Ten team.

If your so confident in your teams, why not play the big 10?? Michigan St. and Wisconsin are BOTH rated teams. But I understand, you also said the Cardinals would win the World Series, and we ALL know how that worked out. When was the LAST time Mizzou won a National Championship?? Hmmm I cannot remember, can you?

ARE YOU SMOKING CRACK?? Baylor beat Wofford (Who are They?) Louisiana Monroe, Buffalo (Same team the Buckeyes played), West Virginia, Iowa State, KANSAS.. Really tough Schedule.. You beat Oklahoma during a sucky year, and a bad Kansas State team. Wait til they play a team with a DEFENSE.. We will see how they do in the last 4 games they play.

That's funny coming from a guy from TEXAS (Which is ALSO on the list) .. Just cause some asshole writes an article doesn't make it true.. I live in Ohio and would NOT want to live anywhere else, And YES I did go to college (Miami University). Just keep bashing, it will make the wins all that sweeter.

Great point. However, it's still hard for me to be jealous what with your perpetually gray skies, shitty job market and fat, barrel shaped women. Also, the guy who wrote the article is from Tennessee, which is also better than Ohio.
