The mods harass people large swaths of the forum disagree with.

Want an example of bias, I regularly saw political jabs (directed at conservatives) outside of TNZ...mods do absolutely nothing...but if someone shot back, more often than not they were warned and told to just ignore it.

How about the mods stop being useless fucks, and come down on those who can't keep their nonsense in TNZ.

I have no doubt that Frontline is fair. As for other mods, I'm not so sure. Awesome Possum is extremely immature and unprofessional for a mod. Compared to you, for instance, have you ever seen me break a rule? If you did, you've been fair about it. She/he runs his/her mouth constantly about posters she/he doesn't like. It may not be against the rules, but it's unprofessional.

Federal Farmer, I did some research right before I went away (was out-of-state for a few days at a Trek con in fact) and it's as Garak said. You flipped out and it wasn't the first time. Pattern of behavior. Then I think you came in again with duals. Not sure on the latter, as usual it's late when I got here and I'm not firing on all thrusters this late.

We don't ban for politics, even though the board is rather left of center when it comes to politics. I'm actually right of center so I'd have to ban myself. The TNZers are a tough bunch and tend to drive out people they don't like. They do it within the rules and it is TNZ, so *shrug*.

I'm satisfied with the TNZ mods. They come into it with their own biases but seem to be able to put it aside and work together when there is a problem. TNZ isn't for everyone, just as WF isn't for everyone. People tend to find their own kind.

TNZ is different than the rest of the board. It's a harder place. Pretty much, on the rest of the BBS, unless you have a habit of saying colossally stupid things or fighting all of the time with other posters, you should do OK. If you're socially handicapped, well, it's the Internet.

We try for a middle road - not too draconian, yet not so loose that the trolls run wild. Sometimes, it works.

I've always wondered about this, and to a certain extent reject the complaint. Both tack, as in change of direction to better suit the headwind, or tact, an abbreviation for tactic would seem to work with the notion that a new approach is required.

Ten Lubak just used it that way.
