In the US government there's been discussions of stopping all free travel policies with Europe and the UK because they've become a security problem. We can't let Europeans freely travel here because we can't tell which ones are with ISIS, al Nusra, or al Qaeda because they're all just one big happy European jihadist family.
Its entirely up to the US who they admit and do not admit, but for a nation built on immigration, this is quite worrying. Land of the free indeed! You would like to think that if this family had already been granted their ESTA visa some time in advance, and then travel was revoked at the last minute, the US would refund the lost cost of the holiday.
He is doubling down on the gturner/dinner line that everybody is the enemy. First all Moslems, now anybody who has seen a Moslem. Xenophobia is an ugly an unproductive force, but it runs deep among the fearful.
Here Immigration Officers have the power to deny entry to people at the port even if they have gotten an visa in advance. It's really nothing new. The only thing that concerns me is the suggestion that they were not given reasons. Over here the port officers have to give paperwork stating at least basic reasons for the denial of entry. I don't know whether or not it's the same in the US. That said, just because they assert they weren't given reasons doesn't actually always mean they weren't, certainly in my experience anyway where many people who fall foul of immigration systems will say they weren't told why, when in fact they were. It's only the word of the father that says they weren't given reasons. In any event, it has yet to be proved that they were denied entry because they were Muslim, and I think it's clear the only reason this is in the papers is because the implication is that it is somehow connected to anti-Muslim sentiment in the US. But, as yet, there is no evidence that they were religiously profiled beyond the word of the family and, I'm sorry, but on this occasion the father has jumped to play the religion card without knowing whether or not it's justified. That's never good. There is a vast difference from the clear religious profiling that Trump does, and that anti-Muslim racist morons like Dinner buy into, and simply taking a random guess that an immigration official has profiled you.
So what? What can he really do? The US can bar anyone from entering for any reason it deems fit and you may well remember the UK, and even backwaters like Ireland, do the same. If they are on the no fly list then they are not going to be on a plane entering the US and that is that.
The lack of reasons given for why this family were stopped is the main problem here. I'm sure Muslims are travelling to the US every day without getting any bother so I'd be interested in knowing why this group were denied entry.
They are not owed a reason. The US can decide for any reason it so wishes to allow or not allow any person to cross its borders as that is its right as a sovereign nation. We do not have to justify or explain our reasons to anyone other than the voters of the Republic. If they are satisfied then that is all that matters. My guess is their name is the same as a known terrorist on the do not fly list and that is enough. No chances should ever be taken and the error should always be on the side of protecting the people from known terrorists. That is as it should be and their inconvenience does not bother me in the slightest.
Yes, they are traveling here daily without issue. That gives me cause to believe there was in fact a reason, just one that hasn't been shared publicly.
Please do not respond to me on this issue if you do not have the guts to answer the questions I put to you. I think you are wrong both legally and morally in terms of the US's right to religiously profile, and I have explained it already in this thread - and none of that has to do with the right to control immigration. I am not going to repeat myself for a low intellect cretin who just picks and chooses what to respond to at random while otherwise ignoring any counter arguments made.
If you are referring to your troll thread, you are right, I ignored it and you because you were a disingenuous fuck not worthy of either my time or effort. I decided you can fuck off and thst is where you can stay as far as that thread is concerned. If you run your mouth and say somethinh which is incorrect then I shall feel free to correct the public record as I deem fit; so please spar me your sniveling and whining when someone decides not to take your troll thread seriously.
So that's clearly why you're still replying to me when it suits you and when you think you've got something up you sleeve that support your rhetoric. God you're full of it, and so obvious as well!
Except there have been numerous issues with the no fly list, even with more Anglican names. Children who were born well after 9/11 and 90 year olds in walkers have been erroneous barred from flights just for sharing a name with a criminal who appears on the list.
I've already demonstrated conclusively earlier in this thread why even if you brought in this supposed ban it won't stop terrorists for the most part, nor can it practically be implemented, so when you take the morality of religious profiling out of the debate it can nonetheless still be demonstrated that the whole idea cannot work in practice. Dinner doesn't respond to these, rather obvious, facts though because he knows he can't. Instead that's when he runs away and either ignores you or hides behind a neg rep, before coming back later and just repeating the same thing over and over and over, almost as if he thinks that saying it enough times will somehow both make it true and convince us in the process. Shame we aren't as easily lead by blogs and tabloids like he is. He's repetition has become so tedious that I am now just glance over the vast majority of his posts like I do Turdrun's & gtwat's, as it's become to easy to predict what will be in them. So, all in all, I wouldn't waste your breath on him. He's proved beyond doubt that he's not here for the debate. He's just here to troll by way of spewing racist, Islamophobic and xenophobic bile, which he has not intention of stopping. I'm beginning to think that the more we still try and have the debate all we are actually doing is upholding the facade that he's here to debate and not just to troll. I think more and more that a change of tactic is in order.
El Chup: "I made a troll thread and he decided to tell me to fuck off? Oh, poor me! Why won't he give me attention?"
They are using names not religion, my not so smart friend. Their names show up on the do not fly list. No, no, it is not a panacea which solves all problems but it does solve one very specific known problem and there is no reason to take any risks or make any exceptions. That is as it should be and I do not feel sorry for anyone inconvenienced. It is simply a nation exercising it's legal rights as it sees fit. Your objections are of no concern what so ever.
Yeah, which is why you were right there posting in it until you were faced with a question you knew you couldn't answer. Laughable and pathetic all in one.
So a John Smith blows something up and all the hundreds of thousands/millions john smiths can't visit the US spending their cash and bolstering the US economy?
No. John Smith John Jones John William John Windsor John Fredricks John Walker Etc, etc...... Fuck it, in the UK what about bringing in a ban on Irish gingers to stop republican terrorism? If they dye their hair no matter, we'll just get @Dinner over to tell us how it's done. Anyone named Patrick or Brenda and you're back on the plane. A name that starts with "O'"? Don't even bother traveling! Paddy? Straight to fucking jail!!!!
I just dropped my response to your excrement and then moved on. You will find most people have similar responses to troll threads. If you do not like it stop posting troll threads and maybe people will take you more seriously. Until then, who cares what you think?
Yeah, you dropped your response in at least 7 or 8 posts before you were caught out. You really moved on didn't you! Do keep on, this level of failure is brilliant. You've pretty much now outdone Dayton and Castle.
I'm curious as to whether a troll thread cannot have a meaningful question asked in it. Maybe if Chup asks the question in this thread, then Dinner will be able to answer.
But some Muslims are still managing to get to Disneyland. Since Disney is one of the few theme parks that isn't installing metal detectors (unlike Six Flags, Knott's Berry Farm, Universal Studios, and Magic Mountain), there's not another way to stop a major terrorist assault on Disney other than keeping them from entering the US. It's not just about protecting our children, it's about protecting their imaginary friends.
I've already linked to it in more than one thread. He's not going to answer it because he's a bottler.
Well, there's also the issue that the Muslim family didn't include any adult women and their home address had known links to the Taliban and al Qaeda.
