I thought I watched the announcement closely, but perhaps your right. I definitely remember he didn’t admit guilt or apologize to anyone for anything. He also implied that MOST of the accusers were lying and he would have been vindicated through an ethics committee process.

Meh. If Franken stays, he'll be dogged for years about allegations, limiting his ability to get things done. If he leaves, his replacement won't have to deal with such things, and might actually beat the odds of getting re-elected.

So, he'll be able to do even less.
