You certainly can't provide backup for your claims. If you'd actually read or seen anything pertinent to the specific topic of the NYC public school system, you'd be able to provide it. Instead you'll do your little SJW dance and then run away...again.
that is the fucking point of a gun it is a weapon specifically designed to kill, perfected throughout the centuries to become more and more efficient at doing so do you even read the words you post?
They use fear to make sure people do what they want... They terrorise politicians to make sure they block any sensible law or regulation... Just to make sure their masters, the weapon manufacturers, can sell weapons to the scared civilians who believe the NRAs fearmongering... Terrorism, plain and simple...
Add Delta and United to those major corporations that are distancing themselves from the NRA. No more special discounts for gunlubbers.
The round or the weapon? The AR is a semi auto that can fire 800 rounds per minute and normally uses a 30rnd detachable box magazine that with decent training can be changed in about 1.5 seconds. How's your 30-06? My Model 70 .270 has a 5 round internal box magazine and due to it being bolt action fires at about 1 round every 1.5-2 seconds. Now my .270 is a much more lethal round shot for shot but in terms of an actual gun fight unless I'm a sniper hiding in the woods give me an M4 everyday of the week and twice on Sundays.
No. Your "information" about NYC public schools would be a matter of public record...if you actually had it. And the more you dance, the more I know you don't. For me, as someone whose RL identity is known, to provide you and Flashy with a list of people who are not members of WF is a violation of their privacy. Tamar made a special rule just for me, which Flashy has been exploiting for as long as he's been here. Try to understand this: if they're not members of WF, their right to be left alone (a supposed rule of the libertopians here) is sacrosanct. You know nothing about the NYC public schools. Stop moving the goal posts and provide evidence to back up your cockamamie opinion or go piss up a rope.
Like Dayton, perhaps? I think we can all agree he needs to be nowhere near anything more harmful than a rolled up Monday newspaper.
Yeah, I'm sure there'd be no vetting process at all, like there totally already isn't in applying for a CCW permit.
Which is weird, because the murder rate in the USA has been going down year by year over the last 25 years yet the number of guns in the hands of private citizens has gone UP year over year. What's THAT all about?
So if every schoolkid were armed, there'd be no more school shootings? RERPL's on record as saying age 4 is where to begin training the little Myrmidons. What say you?
I say that I have no idea what you're talking about, and I have no idea what that has to do with what I am talking about, and I am not interested in following you down a rabbit hole. Stevie the Deuce says "Critical mass reached on a curve with two variables: people and guns. Reduce one or the other." and I say, "the murder rate has been going down and the gun ownership rate has been going up, so that can't be it."
Let me see if I can break it down for you. You say "more guns, less murder." So what's your ultimate premise? If everyone had guns (including schoolkids) there'd be less murder? That's your rabbit hole, not mine.
You seem to be assuming that murder rates and mass shooting rates should have correlating trends for some reason? It is perfectly possible that there could be a crucial guns/population critical mass for regular mass shootings at the same time as the overall murder rates decrease. Edit: I don't think it is a direct critical mass effect however. I suspect one of many factors is that the cultural celebration of firearms in the US has become so strong that the individuals at risk of going on a mass shooting attack aren't easily spotted.
I love how this conversation has gone. Leftforge: "Just because we can't prevent every death doesn't mean we shouldn't try to prevent every death" Paladin, Zombie, Forbin, etc..:"Maybe we could allow teachers to carry and have plain clothes officers in schools?" Leftforge: "No"
Has the number of people owning guns actually gone up? My understanding is that less and less people own guns but those that do own more and more.
Guns scare Dayton. You can see it in his posts about them. I think the world is safe. At least until he becomes POTUS.
