There are students who were at that school that day in addition to those students on Tervor Noah's show. Those students, not on his show, were getting shot at as well. And they still support gun rights. They just aren't being covered because people like Trevor Noah have an agenda to push and it's not gun rights.
Not really. Freedom of speech refers to the overall concept, whereas the right to bear arms refers to specific methods of self defense. Your analogy fails because it is already well established that you can regulate the methods people can use to execute that right without it necessarily being an infringement of the principle. For example high powered radio transmitters are regulated or outright banned in many countries (including the US) that have either legally enshrined or recognised by convention rights to free speech. In addition, if someone misuses their free speech against you the legal system is designed to give you a recourse. If someone misuses a firearm against you then you can't she them or counteract that use from beyond the grave.
That presumes every shooting results in death and there’s still recourse through the justice system. Yes, you may be dead, but that doesn’t mean the shooter won’t end up in jail or dead as well. It’s not perfect, but nothing is.
Nice video, but those stats end up being skewed because they are made considering all of society has a gun because they do not take into account legal gun owners tend to be a specific segment of society and that they own multiple guns. For example if you have a hundred guns and a hundred people in a park you will have far more problems if everyone has a gun than if one person has a hundred guns. Then you have the reality that if you chose the people who you give guns to you can alter the number of gun problems. Finally you might have fifty other guns around you do not know about because you never made sure there were not any guns already there.
It's pretty rich seeing people whine about others not watching some video they posted considering how you all react when I post something.
Do you want people to be nice to you out of genuine kindness or because people are scared you might bust a cap in their bitch asses? But even besides that, all this timing is suspect, considering no one was spewing this until kids mobilized to protest. I've not seen one of these shooters yet who was just some passive nerd who was laughed at for wearing glasses or whatever. All of them were lunatics with a history of violence. Cruz was notorious for killing cats and birds for fun.
I mean, if you had access to AK-15s and AK-47s, would you have killed your classmates? It's a fucking excuse. People can be civil and not torture them to an inch of their lives but there is no obligation to be friends with someone. I got teased for not being a sterotype by both black AND white kids. It sucked. I moved on and found people I did have things in common with. Why don't Disturbed White Boyz do this?
You think everyone except a handful of gunlubbers on WF is a gun grabber, so? Why don't you poll the survivors at Parkland and get back to us? @Zombie has no facts except the ones that make him feel good.
I don't live in your binary universe. The question is unanswerable. Unless you've conducted a poll of every student at Parkland, you have no idea. You're just MSU. You can pretend the media's suppressing alternative opinions but that doesn't make it so. In my observation, gunlubbers tend to speak out about their "hobby." Why aren't they in this case?
