Good for him. Doesn't mean we can't also do gun control along with it. It also doesn't mean we need to ignore red alerts that something is way off about someone. For women especially, that can be a death sentence.
The town next to mine did that for exactly a month after Columbine before parents got pissed at having to buy new backpacks every other week. Clear backpacks are trash that can barely hold a pack of pencils, let alone books for six classes. But considering the shooter wasn't even from the school, it's no.less security theater than the TSA's existence.
Tribunist.com? Just when I think you can't get any more ignorant, you surpass yourself. What's next, the Photoshopped "tearing up the Constitution"? Jerk.
Remington filing Chapter 11 So it's looking like two of the NRA's directives are coming into conflict with each other. Protecting individual gun rights at all costs, and protecting gun manufacturer's bottom line. The gun industry was banking on Hillary winning to continue, or even boost, the Obama Bump in gun sales by producing massive amounts of firearms running up to the election. Instead, Trump won and everyone quite panic buying. That's quite a pickle.
Tell 'em to come to NJ. Our new governor is promising to sign 10 new gun control bills today. Sales should boom.
Hence the shift in rhetoric from fear-mongering about an encroaching police state to fear-mongering about BLM and Antifa.
Yeah, but State gun laws have always been a wild card. It was the fear of potential Federal gun legislation that caused eight straight years of panic buying.
Odd...... I don't remember being promised any of this. I certainly didn't get my cut. I'm 44 and I haven't shot up anything.
And really all of us should thank God too because if all the white men in America acted like that stupid meme says we do this country would be painted red from all the spilled blood. Oh and no doubt we'd establish: Might as well go all the way and put everyone whose not a white male in their place.
Are there no lengths the alt-right and NRA won't go to? A fake photo of Emma González went viral on the far right On the upside... I'm guessing those fuckers are peeing their pants a little, after a few million kids (soon to be voting age) marched in 800 different rallies across the continent over the weekend.
Remington has made some staggeringly stupid business decisions in the last few years though. They wanted to get into the AR market so rather than produce a quality product like they were known for, they purchased Bushmaster. The rifles Bushmaster would sell for $799-$999 now were selling for $1,200 and up because they had Remington’s name on them. They wanted Remington’s price for Bushmaster quality. Not happening, friend.
They've also had a few misfires with new products. Their R51 was a disaster, and I think it's still got problems. Their RP was a me-too polymer 9mm that also had gremlins. I don't hear much about their 1911s. Quality issues have plagued them for years. My local shop had a brand new 870 Marine Magnum on the rack next to a used one of unknown vintage, and the used one's finish was, to my eyes, noticeably superior. I even detected what looked like the onset of rust --or, at the very least, weird reddish discoloration--on the new one's magazine tube.
According to Snopes, as a "social welfare organization," the NRA is tax exempt. https://www.snopes.com/fact-check/nra-tax-exempt-non-profit/
Well yeah, but they're not the only gun manufacturer that's in trouble. They're just the first one to file bankruptcy.
Facts don't frighten me. And as that information goes viral, there will be pressure to revoke their nonprofit status....right after they go after Joel Osteen and those other whited sepulchers. It's all good.
High school students marching four days to Paul Ryan's office for gun restrictions The TL;DR version? They're not cutting classes; they're on spring break.
