When RBG just doesn't wake up sometime in the next year or two, and Trump gets to nominate another SCOTUS member, do you honestly think they won't get the exact same treatment? This is the normal now.

Of course Ford has stopped pursuing Kavanaugh, the damage has been done, and anything further might actually come back on her.

To be fair, she didn't want this to go public in the first place. Someone leaked her letter to the press and Republicans are calling for an investigation into that.

'I think it clearly was, honestly, a despicable thing to do to Dr. Ford,' he told POLITICO in an interview.

Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell told POLITICO on Saturday that the Judiciary Committee “ought to take a look at” the initial media report of Ford’s letter to Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), laying out her allegation of assault. That media report included no details of Ford’s allegation, describing its topic as “an incident involving Kavanaugh and a woman while they were in high school.”

But Republicans have seized on the public disclosure of the letter, which the judge’s accuser had asked remain confidential.

“I think it clearly was, honestly, a despicable thing to do to Dr. Ford,” McConnell said. “And it kind of underscored the tactics that have been used: It started in committee and then went straight out into the public..."

I'm not sure I buy that. I mean, she got the gender of one of her friends wrong in the letter. I'm not even sure she wrote it.

Wasn't it Dianne Feinstein that leaked the letter?

If Trump nominates Amy Coney Barrett I expect the left to totally flip out.

It's been said by many that she makes Kavanaugh look like a leftist.

I think Ford doesn't want to go any further because she knows that if the issue keeps being pushed we will find out that she's made the whole thing up.

The main point being that she was attacked, that part is true, but her therapist wasn't wrong when the therapist wrote down in the notes that the attack was in Ford's late teens and it was four attackers. Kavanuagh would have been at Yale when Ford was in her late teens. I think this is why she won't release the whole notes. It has nothing to do with privacy and everything to do with not wanting to expose that Ford remembers far more about her attack than she currently claims and it wasn't Kavanaugh or Judge who attacked her.

Her supposed fear of flying has already been exposed as a lie. The 2nd door has been exposed as a lie. There's an allegation she helped a friend prepare for a polygraph test in the past which if true means she lied again.

To further go after Kavanaugh would destroy her.

But remember, MCconnel is the devil incarnate.

I do not believe that.

The reason is that after Feinstein got the letter in July her office told Ford to hire those Democrat activist lawyers. She scrubbed her social media and she took a polygraph test. All before the letter leaked.

That's someone whose getting ready to go public.

And really there is no way Feinstein was going to hold onto such a letter and not get it out there. She was desperate to sink Kavanaugh. She thought this would do it. That's why she leaked it. If Feinstein actually cared about Ford than when she got the letter in July she would have immediately turned it over to Grassley and like he said they would have investigated it fully.

Not only should Feinstein be investigated for the leak she also needs to be investigated for suggesting to Ford what lawyers to hire. Who paid those lawyers? That's a question that needs to be answered as well.

This whole thing has impacted me personally. I have a friend that is a woman and leftist and I love and respect her. She’s been sexually assaulted in the past and is very sensitive to these type of things. Because of that, I’ve been reluctant to voice my opinion on Kavanaugh. I finally broke my silence and made her aware of something that someone said at karaoke the other night. So a guy gets up to sing and dedicated the song to Kavanaugh and liberal tolerance, blah, blah, blah. The guy was drunk as duck and couldn’t even sing the song, the song being Born in the USA. Anyway, I told my friend about it, thinking it was funny. She then texted me an article the next day basically about Ford’s friends who wrote sworn affidavits that they had heard the story from Ford, but weren’t actually at the party. I pointed out that the story hadn’t been corroborated. She replied with what I consider vindictiveness and proceeded to say we weren’t friends and also included what I can only conclude as an accusation against me and / or threat. Full disclosure, we dated for about three or four months and had sex several times. Either way, she seems to have gone unhinged and is unwilling to listen to reason. As a result, I feel like I can’t express any opinion on anything because if I come on what liberals consider the wrong side, I’m basically a racist, bigot, misogynist, or the devil incarnate.

This Kavanaugh situation has really broke me and that’s not right. The #me too movement has gone too far and stymied debate.
