    Well, he's not going to be charged with a felony. And the initial TMZ report, the bruised up face, the "she hit me first," is starting to look like complete hooey. But I do find Miniutti's story as it appears in the court filing credible, so unless something else comes out that would indicate she lied I guess I have to say #IBelieveHer. Avanetti is probably done as an advocate for women. :shrug:

    (CNN)The Los Angeles County District Attorney's office declined to file felony domestic violence charges against attorney Michael Avenatti on Wednesday, choosing instead to refer the case to the Los Angeles City Attorney's office for consideration of misdemeanor charges.

    Avenatti's mention of video evidence apparently refers to CCTV footage from the entrance, corridors and lifts of the building, although there is no mention of video from the apartment itself. I'm not sure how he's expecting this to exonerate him - since the alleged assault occurred out of public sight (though his lawyers mention eyewitnesses), unless the footage shows her leaving without any injuries.
