The new year comes at different times for different people, here on Wordforge. For Bailey and maybe 1 or 2 others, it's already 2021, and has been for several hours. For those of us here on the European continent, we still have about 15 minutes to go. (But by that time I will be sleeping, so I'm putting this up now.) Those in the UK or Ireland still have to wait over an hour. And the Americans won't see the new year for another 6 to 9 hours, depending on where they are. But one way or another, within a few hours, we'll all be able to say: ... wait for it ... Hindsight is finally 2020! Good night and see you all next year.
I'm two hours behind New York. That's the bad news...the good news is I'm one hour ahead of Paladin...
30 more minutes for us PST Forgers (y'know, the important ones ). And 2 more hours after that for 2020 to finally die in Hawaii.
We may be in trouble... Just about midnight, when I was falling off to sleep, there was this old geezer walking away, looking very self-satisfied. A young kid showed up about the same time, seeming very sure of himself. The geezer looked at him with disdain, but the kid just smirked at him and said, "Hold my beer and watch this!"
Happy New Year to the West Coast contingent. May 2021 be better than 2020... (That's called setting the bar really low.)
your "finally 2020" comment needs a one eyebrow raised/slowly turning toward the camera (breaking the fourth wall)/then a smirk to go along with it! At least that's how I imagined it anyway.
could be just the start! No problem with that, we all need humbling, character building ordeals from time-to-time just to keep us on our game.
my statement still stands. If you don't humble yourself you're going to get humbled, and it won't be pretty. I'm not a religious man by a long shot, but I'd rather be humbled on my own terms if it's at all possible. Train hard is all I'm saying.
