That's a nice little fantasy you've constructed for yourself to justify using elementary schools as a conformity factory where you are permitted to instill students with your opinions as though they were facts. That time spent in your tailor-made echo chambers for collaborative refinement of rationalization has paid off.
Uh huh. Feel free to continue to rationalize the fact that you're a souless ghoul who won't rest until everyone is as bitter as you are. This is actually lived experience - of which you have exactly NONE - but somehow your lack of experience is more persuasive than what the people involved HAVE experienced. Again, slower for the slower among us, they only thing being "instilled" in these kids is simple: Not all people are alike (in a multitude of different ways) - be kind to them anyway. Don't be mean, don't reject them. Being different is FINE. And that applies whether it's different appearance, different ethnicity, different religion, different ability/health, different identity, whatever. Just. Be. Kind. A lesson a fuckton of adults could stand to learn, but it's easier with kids before the culture teaches them that it's fun to be an asshole or their church teaches them to catalog all the people they are (supposedly) better than.
Just reframing the battlefield into who gets to decide what "kind" looks like. Being different is fine. But rejection is something all humans must learn to face and accept. Your feelings are never guaranteed to be anyone else's top priority in the really real world, nor should they be. Sheltering someone from that fact is just stunting their ability to function later, in adulthood.
Let me guess, variation #2390238 on "Look at the irony of someone who expects his feelings to dominate everything." I don't. That is a straw man. And nobody who disagrees with that statement will back it up with anything but their own imaginations.
Tell me about whatever other random fog of bullshit you're going to throw up to camouflage the fact that you have no business lecturing me about life experiences, fucknut.
Pretending for the sake of argument I don't, Nova fucking does, and you don't listen to her either. So insults from you are absolutely meaningless.
The huge problem with @Uncle Albert 's lie is that it is not equal. The amount of indoctrination into the straight sex fantasy world of true love and marriage for the choice of sexual activity and breeding is insane. It is psychologically damaging how we force the notion you are n0othing without marriage, children, and straight sex. People actually think they will suffer pain and are not living a good life if they do not get laid because of the messages we push on our children. This is all straight cis bullshit. It6 is pushed from before pre-school. I will actually6 agree that messages about the importance of breeding to a modern populace is overly sexual and kids should be more indoctrinated into happiness and being themselves over the importance of family and the lie that having children and sex is your ultimate goal. But if we are going to eliminate gay couples as existing because it indoctrinates children into sexuality, then we need to eliminate all mention of marriage, fairy tales, rom coms, straight sex, and straight PDAs from their site. This is not what UA or his right wing idiots friends want. I could believe prude ass charlie kirk might have a puritanical desire to eliminate all mention of sex and breeding because WAP makes him cry. He is a fuckinhg creepy dude. But the rest of the right is perfectly fine with their viagra filled right wing orgies.
It would not surprise me if two years from now, UA announced he was a transgendered pansexual with a kink for the government treading on him.
If it wasn't for the fact we have no real audience I would be with you on that. Although he might be doing it to convince @Jenee he is actually straight. I just can't tell with that twisted fuckfest.
I actually agree with him on some level. No one likes a spoiled adult who throws a fit when they don’t get their way, and I see a lot of very permissive parenting and behavior modeling that makes me cringe. I just happen to think it’s a much more gradual, nuanced lesson. You start with the little bummers like your toddler having to wait their turn for the slide at the park. As you teach that kindness is a worthwhile goal (don’t pick on the kid with a disability, etc., the hope is that they will internalize the “it’s ok and even wonderful that we’re all different” idea and eventually use it to build their own healthy self esteem that doesn’t require shitting on others to build themselves up. It’s unreasonable to think a 5 year old has the emotional maturity to understand that his teacher thinks his family is disgusting and sinful, while still expecting them to obey that teacher’s class instructions. Shame and disgust from authority figures does not breed healthy resilience in kids, from what I can see.
Republicans are coming out now and saying this bill is an electoral success. They are citing the good polling numbers with Hispanics, especially in South Florida. I remember a long time ago they used to do those man on the street segments where a reporter interviews a few Cuban guys playing dominoes in the park. And they would give their opinion on whoever or whatever the political issue of day was. Sad to say those guys aren’t playing dominoes anymore. They are sitting at home with their COPD watching Fox News all day long. So kudos to Fox for accomplishing what they set out to do, which is turn those people into insufferable dopes. The bill is a solution in search of a problem that doesn’t exist. But if it makes Ron DeSantis the 2024 front runner who cares if it unfairly maligns and “others” decent educators.
And that's all UA's "lone wolf" libertarian fist shaking accomplishes in the end. Lets the Ron DeSantis-es of the world shove another fistful of caviar into the maws on their meaty fucking heads.
There is a good bit of hope that the covid took out a lot of the elderly right voters. The duh has yet to have a post covid election. There were an awful lot of people killed by the rona, and even more were damaged beyond the ability to vote.
I am just hoping their majorities passed away and they are already dead and just don't realize it yet. I could be wrong, but that would be a hell of a gift from COVID.
I thought it was america's penis which sort of makes alabama and mississippi america's undescended ballsack.
This is great: @Federal Farmer as someone who has repeatedly stated that you don't want to engage in hypotheticals, do you have real examples of things happening that these laws are needed to prevent?
Not having experience means you can be dismissed for not having experience. Having experience means you can be dismissed for not being "objective."
