Hate crimes don't happen to LGBT people, even though they do, and are on the rise.
UA just hears from Nazi-tube that LGBT rights isn't like black civil rights, and it FEELS right.
    And that's what's real.
    UA's feelings.
Your feelings are soft, and weak, and queer, and therefore stupid and wrong.
UA's feelings are made of Thor lightning, and are therefore superior, and always correct.
Because his feelings tell him so.
    Feelings.
    Whoa, whoa, whoa, feelings.

Hurting feelings isn't a crime, and trying to cast that as "victimhood" only dilutes the attention people have for it.

Are you suggesting that LGBT people aren't being assaulted or killed all the time simply for being LGBT people? :chris:

Isn't it interesting that I literally meant people being beaten and killed, and UA's brain defaults to "hurt feelings".
    Quite telling.

Does it ever happen? Sure. Is it the epidemic people like Amaris would have us believe it is? No. That's why they try to sneak in "mean words" with acual victimhood, and lump people who use mean words in with people who commit actual assaults.

Yes, that cut me off at the pass.
That point isn't correct anymore because you used the clown voice.

Remember how Lincoln said "ass gasket" and "screech bag" in his speeches?
That's why he has a statue.
And that's why when you look up "reason" in the thesaurus, the antonyms are "screech bag" and "ass gasket".
    Ditto "conscience" and "perspective".

While UA is cobbling together an answer, let me explain something that most people who failed their middle school social studies classes don't understand: the Civil Rights movement was more than about black liberation. There were many LGBTQ+ folks, black, white, and many other colors, creeds, and ethnicities, standing shoulder to shoulder to push back against an oppressive system that wanted to crush and eliminate them.

Just like today, there were people back then who wanted to divide the movement, and so they would target individuals within that movement. White supremacists would go after communists, trade unionists, queer people, other white people, all in an effort to separate the unified front of oppressed groups, because they knew then, just like they know now, that when oppressed groups come together, they can change things, and white supremacists like the system we have now, because it still gives deference and credence to the opinions of straight, white men who have accomplished little in life and still think they've earned respect by being the "default" position.

IF you're interested in some reading, you can read these articles:

If you'd rather watch a video, here's a good starter:

The fact of the matter is, though, that the Civil Rights movement is still ongoing, and it involves a lot of folks that people like UA would rather be silent.

Obviously subjective, but mine matter as much as anyone else's.

One reason is the proportion of scope, scale and severity.

Another is the shameless conflating of "offense" with injury.

    This isn't a thing that's happening.
    This is hate-tube strawman shit.

I'd ask how much violence has to be bestowed on someone for it to be injury, but we know it's one punch for a Nazi, and liquified to chunky soup for a trans person.

I think it's more despicable that someone as intelligent as you seem to be doesn't realize that erosion of civil rights for any group can pose a threat to erosion of civil rights for any other group, or that there is a parallelism to the arguments being made currently against trans people to the ones made against Blacks or other racial minorities prior to (and subsequent to, to the present day) the Civil Rights movement:

They're not "like us," they'll cause crime and moral degeneracy, the Bible says a lot of what they do is wrong and they should be kept separate from us, why can't they keep to themselves, etc etc etc.

The infantry uses mnemonic devices to help folks remember important principles.

For instance the Five Principles of Patrolling are:

    Planning
    Recon
    Security
    Control
    Common Sense

    Pretty
    Redheads
    Suck
    Cock
    Continuously

Wait, I forgot what my point was…

You randomly jabbed those numbers in, but just 27, 033 more would have gotten you to a nice even 80,000 which is 5% of all trans people in the US.

To kill that much of the whole US population would be 15 million.
15 times the covid kill count.
    People would notice that shit.
