It is great that all these people have opinions, but they are not protecting those who are asking for the procedure and consenting. Then you are just being preventative dicks. What if I told UA he could not own a broke dick jeep? What if I told federal farmer he could not believe in conspiracy theories? What if I told JK Rowling she couldn't write fiction about annoying wizard boys?

It is great you have opinions, but you have no right to demand people ask for your permission as ignorant, twats who refuse to adhere to facts and truth.

Note the victimhood narrative that is being crafted here:

Criticism of Rowling's anti-trans rhetoric is being twisted into "They're telling her she isn't allowed to call herself a woman!"

Which of course nobody is. But it's the exact same "logic" that conservatives used to claim that they were being harmed by marriage equality: "If the queers can get married, that means you're telling me my marriage isn't real!"

There isn't some quota for how many women are allowed to exist, and every time a transwoman transitions, a cisgender woman gets kicked out of the sisterhood. It's not fucking pie.

Even if freedom were pie, paranoid reactionaries are always horrible at math.

The Satanic Panic swept the nation for two solid decades, and the actual Satanists were a handful of angry teenagers pissing off their parents, and some swinger couples in suburbia.
But they were supposed to reduce the whole country to moral ruin.
Now it's the same assholes ginning up the trans panic.
Let's not learn from history though. Let's just re-run it for every minority, and pretend it's new.

2. Everyone needs to get over this strange obsession with J.K. Rowling. Every time some asshat engages with her, she just opens her stupid mouth again.

Someone made a good point; "we need to stop looking at JK Rowling as the final video game boss of trans hate. It's the Republican party".

J K Rowling had this great idea when she was a single mother. But after writing the first couple books, her life changed drastically and was reflected in the continuation of her stories. That’s why there’s such a disconnect between the characters between books 4 and 5. Her life changed and so did her story.

But, ther’s still enoug content from the original story at the end of the second book to make the story seem seem less.

The point is, read the stories with little or no regard for her life choices. Abominable as they may be.
