A happy ending. Lead in the right place. Icing on the cake is when the dead guy's accomplice gets sent away for armed robbery.

Don't cry me a river for the 19-year-old. He chose the route of violence and he was more than old enough to know what that entailed.

Oh, don't lie. You weep for the poor little snowflake deprived of his "right" to prey upon the innocent.

I'm not celebrating his death, but I'm not crying over it either.

He had a choice, made it, and suffered the consequences.

Instead of putting on a mask and going in to rob the place, he could've put on his best shirt, gone in, and asked for a job application. Wouldn't have given him much street cred, but his future would've been much, much longer.

Concealed carry gun fetishists kill hundreds of innocent bystanders each year. When you give dipshits a gun with minimum training then carnage ensues.

Sane people feel less safe when idiots like Apostle are allowed to stuff guns down their trousers but as it gives fetishists a hard on I guess we'll just let them run around spraying the town with bullets. :scorp:

    Except that your "proof" involves:

    1. Armed robber shooting a bystander
    2. Police sniper shooting a bystander
    3. CCW holder almost (but not) shooting a bystander.

You fail so hard, if failing was an Olympic sport you'd be disqualified on suspicion of doping.

It's more of a celebration that no innocents were needlessly harmed or killed in what could have been a real ugly situation. I don't see anyone celebrating death, apostle even lamented the young robber's death.

Holy shit, are you dishonest. Or retarded. Or both.

If examples of CCW misuse were so common, you could cite actual examples that support your moronic claim. But they aren't, so you subsitute criminal acts and conflate them with lawful concealed carry.

There have been numerous studies about conceal carry killers and you might not like them but they are never the less real and correct so stuff it with your "moronic" nonsense.

    http://www.vpc.org/ccwkillers.htm

They're hardly trained at all and loads of them are trigger happy so it is no wonder they end up gunning down innocent bystanders, gunning down people in restaurants just because they're mad, murdering neighbors, murdering family members, etc...

It's sad to see a kid make such a stupid, life ending decision when, like Paladin said, he could have actually made something of himself. Now he's dead, and the customer who shot him has to live the rest of his life with the knowledge that he took a human life, even though he was fully justified in defending himself.

From you I take that as a compliment. When you can't argue with the facts you resort to name calling. I'm sorry the facts aren't on your side and that you're butt hurt about your sacred cow getting a critical review but tough shit. That's how the cookie crumbles sometimes.

Maybe you should consider using some actual data to justify your position rather than just resorting to the proverbial "I like guns so I will attack anyone who brings up facts I don't like."

Why all the constant Waffle House thuggery?
Maybe it's not as "upscale" as it appears.

I've heard good things about Huddle House...how is their coffee?

Your "study" counts any incident involving a person with a concealed carry license even when the incidents DON'T involve concealed carry. It's hard to see how the concealed carrier who murdered his wife in their bedroom, for instance, would've been dissuaded if he didn't have a carry license.

You could as well do a study that showed all the drunk driving incidents involving concealed carriers. But without the context of showing how concealed carriers compare to EVERYONE ELSE, the statistics wouldn't be very meaningful.

And, even accepting all the accidents, suicides, and non-carry related incidents, 500 people killed in incidents with CCW holders over a 5 year period does not a bloodbath make. 500 incidents among the estimated 6 million CCWers over 5 years may be BETTER than the population as a whole.

Uh, there are 9 million CCW holders.

Studies have continually shown them to be among the most law abiding in the nation.

Making CS's linked study even less persuasive.
That's what I'm saying. The study purports to show CCWers as prone to violence, but the question must then be asked: compared to whom?

There's no evidence presented to show that CCWers, as a group, are any more violent or bloody than anyone else.

From 2007 to 2012, 499 people nationwide were killed by those who held Concealed Permits?

    So what?

From 2007 to 2012, 2797 people were murdered just in Chicago by various means.

As Paladin said correctly most of those deaths would still have taken place.

And of course when you start looking through the "evidence" you see crimes that aren't crimes but are self defense but this anti-gun group counts even justified shootings as criminal acts. I came across one where the dead guy was found in a car and the shooter (who had also been shot by the dead guy) told the police the dead guy was trying to steal his car. If you are being car jacked by a guy shooting at you and you shoot back and the guy dies I don't think you should be on this groups list.

I'm not going to go through all five hundred but no doubt the bulk of them are either justified OR would have still happened even if the shooter didn't have a concealed carry permit.

This group is very anti-gun and anti-concealed permit. They just take everything and lump into one group to try and make concealed permit holders look bad.

There are millions of permit holders in the country and they are not the problem.

Huddle House isn't anywhere near as good as Waffle House. WH's coffee is deliciously burnt, their food satisfyingly greasy. If it's 3 AM and you're either too drunk to effectively navigate a McDonald's drive-thru, or you've got the munchies and the only food in the house is the dog's (and he keeps growling when you get close to it), Waffle House can't be beat.

I feel bad that he thought circumstances were dire enough to resort to armed robbery. I'm betting this wasn't really his idea, but rather the idea of the older man. Probably as a sort of birthday thing.
