Unlike football, this one's decided on the court, not by the computers. ;)

So far the Pokes have beat Auburn, Pitt, Missouri State, and Syracuse. One loss to Tennessee. Once we sweep the uppity Aggies we'll be on to the Big 12 title. :D

I don't have an impressive early win list like yours, but we beat Auburn by 29 points on their court. That ranks as the worst home loss in Auburn school history. We also played UCLA to the wire. The other night we beat Grambling 101-27. Notable stat: Grambling had more turnovers than points.

One more thing to consider. So far Billy G's teams seem to really hit their stride about midway through conference. With A&M already playing this well, what could the future hold?

PS - One more thing about the Grambling game: Billy G's boys gave up less points to Grambling than Fran's boys gave up to Cal on the same night. God I hate Fran.

This is a good time to start this thread since we know more about the teams than we did early on. I'll be honest, A&M scares me, Acie Law scares me, and Gillespie needs to move on and get another job. The South was tough enough without A&M getting into the game, at least Missouri may be getting better in the North, that keeps Kansas from loading up on weak sisters.

Acie is still a holdover from that winless A&M team a few years back, and he's got heart. OSU has talent and heart but no depth, which will hurt them a in a few games this year. But after the Pitt game, it's hard to underestimate them. Adarius Bowman may come out so there is hope.

Like Big XII football, whoever wins the South will win the conference.

Oh, and Fran beat Texas, that should buy him a couple more years. :itsokay:

Texas Tech basketball... what can I say, we'll show up to play you guys at the very least. I'm not counting on any big wins, but I have to support my team. One more win and Bobby Knight gets that all time record, unfortunately that may very well be the highlight of our season. Wreck'em. :techman:

O-State will get Obi Manuelo back around the end of January, flow. He's the kid who cracked his foot in practice. That will help with the depth problem. He was coming along nicely, and he's played too many games to get a medical redshirt, so they'll rotate him back in. We'll have him for February and post season. Cooper's coming along better than they expected in his absence. We're not deep, but we're not as pitifully thin as they feared.

And the Blue Devils go down in double OT. When I first turned on the game, I thought they were playing Vermont.

Ags playing poorly vs KSU right now. Up by 2 at the half.

Son of a gun, my local CW in Oklahoma City is playing the KSU/T A&M game. I'll have to check out the second half. I'm sure the Aggies will pull away. Someone told me that son of a bitch Bob Huggins was coaching the Wildcats now. That isn't true, is it?

Well the Ags pulled a close win over Coach Thuggins and his merry band of felons. The game was way closer than I thought it would be. As a result, I am halfway to drunk.

The mark of a good team isn't a slaughter every week. It's finding a way to win. The aggies did that.

81-77, flow. We're cool. Boggan better figure out how not to get his fourth foul with 13 minutes left in the game or it could get ugly up at Lawrence next Wednesday.

State better get it together pretty damn quick. Kansas is walking all over them. I'm sensing Tennessee Cowboy flavoring. Turnover, turnover, turnover....Boggan's first half play is for shit.

Cripes, how many turnovers is that already? 10? 12? They are looking like SHIT tonight. This is embarrassing. Kansas is good, but they aren't that good. They got beaten at home by Oral Roberts for pity's sake.

Can't keep their hands on the ball, can't hit the broad side of a barn with short range shots, cripes this is pitiful.... :wtf:

Flow? Flooooooow? searches for flow. You haven't committed hari kari or anything like that, have you flow? We seem to have one bad game and one disastrous game every season. Hopefully this was our disaster allotment for the season.

Damn, when those wheels came off they came off. :wtf: I guess the boys were believing their own press. Sean will have to recover from the first official spanking of his career and find the mettle to continue. At one point it got so bad it was easy to consign it to the "bad night" category. Kansas isn't 30 points better than State. The boys just got shell shocked. Time to learn, young men. Better learn from this. I didn't think they'd win, to be honest, but I thought it would be our thin bench that would wear us out after a competitive game.

What a fool I was, huh? :wtf: Only 20 turnovers. At least Boggan didn't foul out, like they were worried about. Of course the bitch of it is we'd have probably played better if he had. :jayzus: What a stink we laid tonight.
