Get rid of Sean? Are you kidding? That's the last thing they should do.

How do you figure? Your team seems sloppy as hell. How many times do you gotta turn the ball over? How many times do you not turn around and stop the ball in transition?

Seems to me like he's doing a piss poor job.

We've had two years basically, and Sean seems consistently unconsistent. Yes, last year was a train wreck and all that, but we've heard for years that Sean has effectively been the coach, so why should that only count when they're winning? Remember how Eddies teams always got better about now? Sean's appear to fall apart in February. I like Sean too, but I'm not sure he can keep up with these new up and comers in the Big 12. Capel, Anderson, Gillespie, unless Sean can get a good point guard, these guys are going to pass us by. Hell, Jai Lucas will probably end up at OU. I worry less about Sean as a good coach, than I do about these new guys rising. I'm afraid we're going to end up in the second teir.

I want to see some guy on the sidelines with a plan, not a guy looking like he wishes he had a drink.

We'll put another game or two together, and probably slip into the tournament, win one game and done.

A month ago he was the toast of the town. It's his first year as head coach. Give him a chance to get his own players in there at least. I think the problem is the kids. They just don't play together as a team. They play like 5 individuals. That may be a personality problem.

Harsh, dude. He could do no wrong a month ago.

Well be fair to the guy. He did nearly crack his head open during the ice storm. He took a nasty spill and knocked him unconscious. Between that and watching his players miss every other free throw that would be enough for anyone to need a drink.

This would be a coaching problem. if you are coached like an individual you will play like an individual.

I have a hard time believing that's how Sean is coaching them. He knows better than that.

I would be surprised if any coach actually instructed his players to play as individuals, miss free throws, turn the ball over, and lack any offensive or defensive identity. For a while, I did suspect this of Melvin Watkins. It shouldn't take 5 years to teach your kids how to do an inbounds play.

The reality is that although a coach may try and teach the kids the right way to do things, he sometimes just sucks at it.

No, it happened afterwards. They went in 2004. That summer was when Eddie had to dive into the ditch to avoid being hit by the car. It was about 6 feet deep and he fell on his back. He put off having surgery because he wanted to coach the next season. That's when he should have turned the team over to someone else to try and get himself healthy. He started popping prescription pain killers, then came the drinking.

Ash, you saying Watkins should have gotten five years, but Sean should get the boot after one bad stretch? There's being realistic, then there's being fickle. I'm willing to give him 2 or 3 years. He hasn't exactly failed yet. He's had his father's problems to deal with the past two seasons as well as the team.

Watkins was given too much time. The only reason for that is because he was a decent recruiter, and A&M had no winning tradition.

I have it on good authority that Eddie had been on the sauce for longer than that. :)

My uncle, a longtime businessman in Stillwater. Yeah, I know, rumors, teh internets, and all that. He and his wife claim it was common knowledge around town. Sutton had an assistant coach buy his stuff.

Come on, the OSU police let him get into his car falling down drunk, he had everyone intimidated. Love the guy, and he's a good coach, but I'm not about to lionize the him. Besides, he only came clean when he was caught, why should I believe a longtime alcoholic when he says when he started drinkin again?

And don't question my loyalties or anything like that, my grandpa's picture is up in concourse of GIA for christ's sake. ;)

At least Curry nailed a three at the buzzer. Darn. How the mighty have fallen indeed. There's something to be said for peaking at the right time. However, I shall continue to root for my Cowboys. What else can I do? These guys just don't believe in themselves anymore. It's entirely mental at this point. Hell, the crowd showed up. You can either get it done or not.

    Damn. :(

No, they were booing the refs more than anything else. Not the boys. Still seem pretty enthusiastic at the opening of the second half considering how far behind we are.

Come on, Cowboys.....if you fall way behind you can't expect enthusiasm to last. I know they're better than this.

sigh I'm getting really tired of seeing A&M get all those second chance points in the paint. :( Remember when we used to do that? Sob.

Yep, we beat the Ags, and we didn't have the worst loss of the week either thanks to Nebraska. And now it looks like we're playing for that 5th spot in the Big XII to try and make the big tourney.

I'll be amazed if Alabama can hold on to our top 25 spot after blowing that Tennessee game. We just can't seem to be consistant in any sport lately. But I have to stick with The Tide win or lose.

    Roll Tide! :D
