Georgia's on my mind today! 45-21 over Georgia Southern - playing the water boys for most of the second half.
SC kicked the living shit out of VA. I'm waiting for the USC vs OSU game. As much as I despise OSU and the state of Ohio from the bottom of my soul, I will either achieve orgasm or hell depending on how this game turns out. I want the OSU fans to weep like bitches. I want them to beg for mercy as the blond, cornfed beauties of Ohio suck my gigantic Trojan thundercock. I want the Buckeyes to forsake their fandom for the rest of the season after a Trojan assraping that will go down in the annals of college football history. I want Columbus to be nuked. I want all Buckeye fans to die in a fire and then roast in the pits of hell. In short, I hate OSU and I pray to Odin and Thor that SC kicks the ever-living shit out them.
Utah v. Michigan was a good game. Bama took care of Clemson. Auburn beat whatever cupcake they were playing today. Overall, a pretty good day for football.
What the fuck? The bar I was in last night had a retard running the TV, so I was unable to keep up with the scores. I had no idea. So with that, wanna come up to Stillwater?
I wonder if the aggies will sing songs of the time the mighty ark st came to town and how they fought bravely to the end until the clock ran out... I smell a new tradition.
Yeah, but they do that anyway, win or lose. One of the reasons why I prefer pro football to college is that the pros can't put cupcake teams on their schedules at the beginning of the season to pad their stats. They have to play the cards they're dealt by the league. Then something like that A&M game happens and I just have to smile.
Aub 34 LMU 0 Now that's that kind of score I like to see. I'm just waiting on the Iron Bowl. http://auburntigers.cstv.com/sports/m-footbl/recaps/083008aaa.html View attachment 2324
That tells me nothing... And obviously, I am Anc. One of a handful of WFers fortunate enough to spend some time on The Plains back in the day....
Sorry, no bio forthcoming. Nice to meet you though. And thank gods, there's another Aub fan around here.
While Mizzou's offense should be able to put up some big numbers this season, the defense's performance raises a giant red flag for their ability to compete for the Big 12 championship, much less the national championship. They let an average-at-best Illinois team waltz up and down the field. Think of what USC could do to them. As for Jeremy Maclin, there's no way Pinkel should let him play next week. Mizzou is in no danger from Southeast Missouri St., give him a week to recover so he'll be around for the rest of the season. Obviously the kid will want to play, but the coaching staff should realize he needs to be able to play in the *important* games.
There are two chick Lee's from Auburn I know. You didn't take BizCal in 2001 did you? And then run into a classmate from there in NO for the SugerBowl in '04 and then did you? Or did you ever spend a summer in Orange Beach? The owner of the board bleeds Orange and Blue...
Meh. It was the first game, and they let up 36 points against a Top 20 team that was playing from well behind most of the game. Color me not concerned. Average-at-best? No, a Top 20 team. And I predict that you'll find the Illini will come to deserve that ranking as the season progresses. And "waltz up & down the field" isn't exactly accurate. They got burned on 3-4 long passes. One of which there was noticeable confusion by the Defense pre-snap, which Illinois exploited. Another of which was a nice blitz-pick-up by Illinois that Juice Williams burned them on. But despite prior predictions, the Illini and their supposedly solid O-line didn't run all over Mizzou. There rushing game was pretty much fully contained. Their backs couldn't turn the corners on the quick Mizzou defenders. Again, not concerned. By the time they get to a USC, Oklahoma, Georgia, or Florida, it'll be the end of the season and they'll be far more prepared. Totally agree. Not sure if it's just the press mouthing off what they don't know about, but you're right. In fact, all the important players nursing injuries should be given extra healing time as they progress through the cupcake portion of the schedule. Tigers get up by 24 points? Put in the backups (and that includes pulling Chase Daniel)!
