How many BCS title games has Arkansas State played in during his tenure? I acknowledge that Head Coaches have to start somewhere. That's why schools like Arkansas State exist.

What Auburn needed to do was look at the top five teams over the course of the last 10-15 years and drop major change to hire someone that demonstrated that they can compete in the big leagues over time.

So, your talent pool was Miles, Stoops, Gundy, Shaw, and let's say Richt. Those guys are either already lords of their little fiefdoms, or in Gundy's case already playing second fiddle to a lesser evil than Saban. Maybe you could have convinced Leach to come down, but I have a feeling he's content to stay up on the Palouse like the mad scientist he is, working on a 2015 Pac 12 title.

Now I am curious that no one seems to be mentioning Petrino, are we to believe that a SEC team desperate to win really cares that much about coed motorcycle rides?

Tennessee is reportedly interested in North Carolina head coach Larry Fedora.

Normally, a coach wouldn't leave a program after only one year.

However, the NCAA is considering further sanctions against North Carolina,
which was ineligible for a bowl this season.

South Florida makes an interesting hire in Willie Taggert, who was at Western Kentucky. USF's recruiting went into the tank under Skip Holtz...not acceptable considering that Florida is right up there with Texas and California when it comes to churning out studs. Taggert had something like 30 Florida kids on the Western Kentucky roster. If he can get them to go there, he should be able to get them to go to USF.

One to watch is Florida International, the public university in Miami which is reportedly hot for Butch Davis. Davis, of course, has a track record at the University of Miami and is cooling his heels as a special assistant (whatever that means) to Greg Schiano of the Tampa Bay Bucs.

If Davis goes to FIU it'll be interesting to see which school made the right play...young up and coming hotshot, or veteran retread.

So in one year Texas A&M University leaves for the SEC, beats the number one team in the country on their home field and wins a historic Heisman trophy. Well played Aggies, well played.

If only they'd gotten the Longhorns in the Cotton Bowl. :sigh:

A&M gains nothing by playing Texas except proving what everyone already knows. The Aggies are now the power the in the state of Texas. Fuck the whorns, let them wilt on the vine. We'd put up 70 on those arrogant cunts.

    ESPN College Bowl Pick'em...

Who wants to do a WF league? This has to be decided fast as the games start Saturday. I'd be up for a money or a fun league since it's such short notice. There are 35 bowls and it works just like the one I showed you above. I'll check this thread tonight and if we have enough interest I'll set up the league and send out the joining info.

I've set up the College Pick'em league over at ESPN. You'll have to create an account there if you haven't already.

Go to the link and set up your account. Then find and join the group using the info below. Make your picks, I'd wish you good luck, but because I'm going to destroy all of you I don't see the point. :bergman:

Ok, I hereby claim Braggin' Rights, based on my 53 point lead over 2nd-place Tex with him only having 34 more points possible, even if he's picked opposite me tonight (I've got 'Bama at 22 points).

I *ROCK*, the rest of you *SUCK*!!!:slice::chili:
