How do police get the info for a warrant and how is that different for documented vs undocumented people?
Dropped off my ballot this morning on my way to work. Checked at ~6pm and it hadn’t been received. Checked again about half an hour later and it was fully processed. What’s interesting is that the polls don’t close until 8pm meaning they actually took the time to do a midday ballot run. That’s pretty cool.
@Order2Chaos you’d asked about Ballot Reconciliation a while back and I didn’t have a good answer but playing around on the SOS website I stumbled upon this dashboard you might find interesting: https://www.sos.wa.gov/elections/data-research/election-data-and-maps/ballot-return-statistics I was initially VERY surprised by the high challenge rate (almost 5%) but looking into it it seems like the overwhelmingly vast majority were due to folks not checking their party on the back of the envelope which at the time (for some reason I thought we were a Super Tuesday state so actually filled out my ballot last Tuesday, like a chump, not realizing I could put it off another week until signing the back I saw DUE MARCH 12) I remember not remembering if that box had been there in past Presidential Primaries (we do a Jungle Primary for all other elections) or if the whole ‘Only mark one column (D or R) if you mark both your ballot will be voided’ was all we had to do before. And honestly I’m not sure I really see the point of that box. As long as someone only marks one column what is the issue with counting their vote regardless of the outside check box?
Wait, it gets better. Because of when he bailed, there has to be a special election for his district. You know, the one that Boebert has just "moved" into. So, in order for her to run in the special election, she's going to have to give up her current seat. If she does, that means another special election, this time for her present district.
Again, why is this MORE likely if you have a name and address? What about either of those is linking you to the crime?
What Dems could be running on in a sane country: The surge of immigrants at the southern border is the major reason our economy is #1 in the world, new data shows. Economic models have long shown that doubling immigrants, regardless of education is the best and fastest way to grow our economy. Below from axios: We are not, in fact, a sane country.
Finding you initially? Only if you are named in a report or recognized on camera. After that there's the likelihood of you showing up for your court date. But of course you are deliberately missing the point: It is disingenuous to phrase it "illegals commit fewer crimes" rather than "they may be caught and convicted of fewer crimes." One can be known, the other cannot. This is as clear as anyone should need it made.
Um, a drivers license would be one way and obviously if someone doesn’t have documentation then that would be the difference. How does feel to be this stupid ?
They go to a judge to seek a warrant and the judge looks over the probable cause they have and then the judge issues a warrant. You really don’t know how warrants work, do you? Not surprising considering you live in California which is cut off from reality.
You may not be aware of this, but cops do things they call investigations. It often involves asking questions and trying to identify the suspect. You really should educate yourself on these things. I can’t hold your hand the whole way, buddy.
Whatever you're drinking, there's a lot of lead in it. You're essentially saying that documentation helps cops identify bad guys, but then saying that cops know who has documentation because they investigated.
