At least I can still keep my 8rd mags in the .45. I hope. For now. Jesus. I don't think the 10-rd limit has gotten past the governor yet, but I doubt he'll do anything but shrug and sign it. If he even shrugs. I just dug out the one 10-rd mag I had for my S&W 469, and removed two rounds each from the others, and plucked 5 rds each from my CZ-75 mags. Kind of a show of good faith - "But officer, I can't GET 10-rd mags for the gun! Hey, at least I only had 10 loaded!"
Well halel uja, I found a website with some in stock. Gotta find more for my Smith 469 now. I have no idea if they're going to grandfather existing mags. NY's ridiculous 7-shot limit allows 10-rd mags, provided you only load 7 But NJ has never been that "reasonable." When the mag limit was reduced to 15 rds (pistol) and 10 rds (rifle), in the 90s, it was made illegal "to own, transfer or dispose of" larger mags. Which begged the question, what exactly the ripe fuck were we supposed to do with them!?!?
The only thing I have 10 round mags for is my 12 gauge. Siaga 12s can be a bit... finicky. I've found the 10 round AGP mags to be the most reliable feed.
Managed to find some S&W 10-shots in stock somewhere online (god, I can't even remember who I ordered them from now). $28 each. The CZ mags were $35 each.
The other day I picked up a couple 30 shot mags for my AR-15 for less than $20 apiece. That was more than I wanted to pay but less than I expected to pay.
In honor of this thread, and because I live in a state that respects my rights, I just bought some spare mags for this
Cheaper Than Dirt just got some CZ mags in stock for $42 each. They may need to change the name of the store.
Cheaper than Dirt always sold stuff for stupid prices and a lot of it was junk. After the stunt in January a lot of people said they would never shop with them again.
What stunt in January? The only thing I've ever bought from them has been a couple of rifle cases and there was no issue with that.
I infinitely prefer The Sportsman's Guide to Cheaper Than Dirt. And having lived in St. Paul MN, I've actually shopped at their warehouse store.
They did a couple of things. #1 they pulled some rifles from sale as part of the panic , knee jerk reaction a la Dick's Sporting Goods. Then they've capitalized on the panic, selling items such as magazines at captain insano prices when other retailers have done their best to keep the prices as low as possible. Their free to set their prices as they wish. But a butt -ton of people in the shooting community said they would never do business with them again.
I don't agree with the reaction to cheaper than dirt. Raise your prices, and everyone won't buy which ensures demand is able to be met.
Anybody wanna buy some 15-shot CZ-75 mags while it's still legal? $20 each plus, I dunno, $5 shipping?
