How come i only have 1401 turns available at a game start? Its bad enough being a day behind, which in itself is almost impossible to catch up, but losing an extra 1,100 turns sucks
Yeah it sucks. Have you actually looked in the spam box? If it is not there then I'd say you made a typo error.
Well, that clinches it. I'm sittin' this one out. I'm more than 24 hours behind the game, and at this point, what's the challenge in playing the junior varsity?
well, as terry wogan in charge of the eurovision songs!, i won't have much difficulty in picking names for my planets...
I see that Cain and Terry Wogan both have negative reputations, who have they been attackign? edit: Jasim bin Jabir also has a negative reputation.
Cain captured a planet of mine with 100,000+ civilians. Peace loving people who barely had the means to defend themselves. Edit: what name are you going by?
i attacked one of roaches planets in order to ensure my current trade route kept open. i didn't really want to start planet building til i hit a level 20 hull, but i wasn't going to waste it.
Now that puzzles me. Folks want peace, but won't relocate a trade route to an unclaimed system. Are warp editors that prohibitive that you can't carve a new one? Incidentally, I'm now open for business. I keep records on everything, and if you need to know where an enemy is, and I know, you can know too for the right price. I'll even drop helpful notices, like if I know someone's spying on your systems, and if you like I can tell you where, again, for a price. My information is always good, but I prefer the money up front once we agree on terms. Transfer fees come out of your end, not mine. I've already made a few transactions so far, I expect in this multi-polar universe that business is going to be booming.
i prefer to realspace when trading and i'd boosted my engines so i could RS between the two locations, i'm not farting about find a new trade route after expending effort doing that this early on in the game. roach had seen me using that port repeatedly, and must've noticed the warp link i put in before my engines were powerful enough to RS, and still plonked a planet there. so i unplonked it.
Some folk just don't like scribbling down lots of notes. If I find a sector with an existing warp link between two profitable ports, I set up a trade route straight away to act as my "notes". Sounds useful. Hope it works out better than my "neutral third party" idea last game, though I'm still up for that if any of the alliances are interested this time around. On the subject of transfer fees, I wish the system would allow you to compute how much to transfer to ensure that the recipient gets exactly the amount you want them to. It's fiddly trying to calculate it yourself.
He'd have to 'plonk' 3 planets and build bases to block that port, unless he did a planet and a minefield.
yeah, i'm going to wait so i have to nuke 3 planets instead of 1 when you get roaches in the house, you wait for the rats and pidgeons to set up shop as well before calling in rentokill?
It's hard to promote yourself as a neutral third party when you are a member of the alliance which already has two people with an evil rating. On that note, several planets of Cains have just been cleansed. He originally set up shop in two sectors that a player had been using as a traderoute, and mined one of the ports. I sent a polite message asking that the mines be removed, and saying that his planets would be left alone. He responded by attacking Timmy, Kosh and Thrawn. Note that two of those three people aren't even members of The Alliance and had nothing to do with this matter. With 800,000 of his colonists paying the price, I hope Cain can take this as a moment to reflect on what little is gained by attacking other players without reason.
You'll just make him mad... *shakes head, lights cigarette* Let me know if you need to find a new port.
