I actually don't know what the predominant narrative is these days. Is Trump in cahoots with Putin, or is he recklessly endangering peace? I wish the pundits would all get on the same page.

Sometimes I'm so fucking clever I can't stand myself.

Oh wait. This is the most transparent diversion ever? Even my preteen thought it's stupid after half a minute of explaining?

What kind of complete moron goes on Twitter to tell the other guy that 'they are coming for him' (the missiles, that is)? Answer: It's either a complete and utter moron who should be 25th'd right this second. Or a moron who tries to telegraph 'this will be a one time thing, let us not escalate and nuke all my golden toilet bowls'

However, I'm completely sure Putin regrets supporting Trump by now. He must have been so terrified of President Hillary Clinton that he either didn't look into Trump or thought he could easily control him.

The measured one is that Putin wanted chaos, Trump was the best bet for it. He MAY have colluded - personally I think it's more likely folk like Manafort, Gates et al did and Trump tried to cover it up when he found out later on, rather than authorising anything.

However, I'm also of the opinion that Trump HAS done some dodgy deals with Russians in the past that Mueller might uncover, as well as other illegal actions. But as far as the Russia election meddling angle to the investigation, I think obstruction at best. His previous ties to Russia might give them blackmail material, but as seen with Stormy, he's not above lashing out if his image or self-worth are threatened, even if lashing out isn't a smart move.

The eye and skin irritation fades pretty rapidly. Ironically, though it is called "tear" gas, tears are the thing that clears your eyes the quickest. The worst part is the feelings of constriction in the throat and swelling in the irritated nasal passages. Makes it hard (though not impossible) to breathe. Best thing to do is turn away, open your mouth wide as possible and force yourself to inhale fresh air.

I’m guessing it was part of his jailer training, but maybe not. :chris:

Either way, I’ve been exposed to CS and pepper spray on the job many more times than Dayton has and that doesn’t even include military time which we all know Dayton doesn’t have at all.

I guess I mentioned it in My Diary thread back when I was at the TrekBBS. When I worked as a jailer, a jailer was allowed to gas a cell if an inmate becomes violent or dangerous himself or cell mate.

In order to be given authorization to use tear gas, as part of training a Sheriffs Dept. employee must have first been subjected to tear gas his or her self. Supposedly so they can appreciate the effect it can have. But I think there is an alternative reason as well. If a cell had to be gassed, jail personnel would probably have to enter the cell to remove the occupants while there were still trace amounts of tear gas lingering inside and naturally needed to be familiar with the effects in order to work.

Though in my brief time working I never had to gas a cell. One of the deputies told me if a cell needed to be gassed to call one of them to do it. Otherwise he said if the jailer did it the inmates (especially those who did nothing wrong but were in nearby cells and got the effect of it too) would be royally pissed off and extremely uncooperative in the future.

I'm so glad to be out of that place.

If you've been paying attention you'd realize it could easily be both. Trump has a long history of betraying his friends and allies the moment it's beneficial to do so.

Not to mention the television producer in Trump understanding the value of manufacturing conflict to change a narrative. His base is easily stupid enough to fall for the "there couldn't have been collusion with Putin in 2016 because there's tension between them in 2018" argument. But did he remember to tell Putin the plan? :async:

anything we use for military training/riot control/inmate control/etc. should not be considered "chemical warfare" by any means. Survivable shit and deadly shit are not the same thing.

Some have speculated the trauma of that played a role in deterring him from unleashing German chemical weapons against the Soviets in World War Two.

you totally missed the point. What is designed to kill or permanently cripple your enemy is sometimes survivable (in small quantities). Many people survive getting shot at point-blank range for example. CS/tear gas/etc. are designed to be "non lethal" and temporarily incapacitating.

Like I'll take instruction in courage from a guy who drove off rather than face a little old lady after he rammed her car.

Facing you doesn't take guts, D. It's just simply a waste of time that could be spent doing something actually worthwhile. The only reason I'm not doing so (playing Elder Scrolls Online) right now is that I'm waiting for my bounty to cool off after backstabbing the last cunt, and Bethesda hasn't yet come up with a character as entertainingly stupid as you.

I mean, hell, left to your own stupidity you nearly let a bacterial infection kill ya. Why put the effort in when you'll probably gut yourself on a rake trying to prove some point that wasn't worth it?
