Once more for the slow - Impeachment is handled by Congress . . . first the House hands down the Articles of Impeachment, then the Senate conducts the trial. The Executive branch gets NO say in the process. Biden's wishes or "tap dance" is irrelevant.

The amount of damage that he can do in 9 calendar days as the most powerful person in the world is staggering.

The Congress can decide the scope and methodology of its trial, I assume. In this one, I would have it be fairly cut and dried. I would play the recording of the conversation with the Georgia election officials and the recording of the speech to the insurrectionists. I would give the president and anyone he wishes the ability to testify within reason. And I would then limit speeches to just a few minutes to avoid grandstanding. There is not really a practical reason why a trial could not be started and completed by the end of the week at the latest.

In fairness, irrelevant is probably too strong. Even though Congress ultimately will do or fail to do what it wants, one would have to think that if Biden came out strongly in favor of or against impeachment that Congress would take cues from that.

I'd have to take a good look at his governating record, because if he were eligible to run and did, I wouldn't write him off.

As I recall vaguely, his record as governator was alright. I can't remember any specifics.

Arnold is only a naturalized citizen, rather than a natural-born (one either born within the territorial limits of the U.S. or born to at least one U.S. citizen who is under its jurisdiction) citizen, so he's ineligible to run for president.

My current boss said she made it a top priority of hers to remove toxic problem children when she became manager and actively pushed to have such people removed the minute they put in their 2 week notice. Even for the pushback she receives for not hiring more people more quickly, she won't hire shit employees just to have a body in place. And thank God for it because I've seen too often where that shit leads in the Navy.

Trump never wanted to be president. He wanted to be the opposition. I am no fan of HRC but anyone who thinks we'd be in this position with her in office needs their head examined.

Could it be that sometimes doing the right thing is more important than doing the politically expedient thing?

Considering the circumstances it would make the most sense to have Biden take the oath at an undisclosed location, preferably about Air Force One, then immediately walk over to a desk and begin signing executive orders. No ceremony anywhere the deplorables can attack, no big shiny ground based target.

Biden can't even go near the White House until it's disinfected anyway.

How did such a mediocre middle of the road white guy like Biden manage to break your brain like Obama did to Sokar? Seriously.

More importantly, how did a mediocre middle of the road white guy like Biden get more votes than Obama, Trump, Hillary Clinton, both Bushes and JFK combined? Seriously.

Seriously, what planet are you tuned to? Youv just witnessed the biggest dumpster fire of sny presidency and yet you seem wedded to this idea that Biden will be shockingly bad?

You are one step removed from these scumbags who stormed the Capitol building. Yes, you say they are criminals and you dont support that element, but everything they believe in you are right there with them. Youv let 4 years of Trump melt your brain, you believe in fraud where there isnt any, you cry foul of the big bad fake media, you skirt right over the fact that all of these generals and defence secrateries have been fired over twitter or rallied against him, and now you seem convinced that Biden will be as bad or worse than your guy.

Biden may be good, he might not be, but im 100% sure he cant be as bad as Trump. Hes not going to drag America and its democracy through the mud, hes not going to make policy decisions over twitter from his iphone and hes not going to get implicated in all the dodgy dealings Trump has gotten himself into.

Look, your guy fed you 4years of horseshit and then took an all mighty beating. Its time to let it go........

Yes. Biden has a long record of being a fan of the procedure of government and doing things the "right way".

There might be plenty you disagree with him on policy wise, but you're otherwise going completely insane.
