Impossible. I've been told from very reliable sources that Britons care not for gun ownership.

Besides, they aren't outlawed. Anyone that wants one can still have one.*

*Except, of course the British Olympic shooting team, who has to practice in France.

Those poor fools. They have no means to overthrow an oppressive government, and they have slobs like Dan Leach to stand in the way of their liberty. :(

^ With the ever-increasing collapse of our miliatry strength I think we could easily topple the government if we told the drunken chav masses that alcohol and football were being banned. You could easily attack Parliament with knives fashioned from empty beer cans and plasic bottled vomit bombs.

You have no way to overthrow your government you fool. Your government isn't stupid enough to allow you access to that level of technology

And as for the protest in the vid? That was about hunting with dogs... not guns. I for one am glad to see the back of that archaic and barbaric practise

Did you miss the part when they were complaining that they didn't realize that allowing handguns to be take would ultimatley mean all of their guns can be legally taken? Or the part about how crime is out of control and the police can't do dick about it?

    Crimes out of control?
You lose more people to gun deaths in a fortnight than we do in a year Ad thats per capitca,... ot taking into account your bigger population.
It might be out of control for British standards, but compared to you lot i think we have it under control.

Yeah, great Dan. The crusader of truth returns. Now go and find the figs for violent crime based murder involving weapons and methods other than firearms.

Make no bones about it, the UK has a crime problem and its getting worse. To think otherwise, and to suggest we have it under control, is laughable. Plus, if guns were available to the general public then are crime rate would be higher than the US as policing is crappier, we have fewer coppers, more paperwork and no prisons to put dirtbags in. Crime, per se, is worse and right now, when it comes to personal safety, I feel safer in New York than I do in London.

You would be surprised how inventive we are.

There is a crime problem that is getting worse.
Its mainly restricted to inner city london, inner city birmingham, inner city manchester and other major conurbations.
Lets not get stupid and bring in laws to solve your dirty problems that fuck up the rest of us in the civilised parts of the country

Unfortunately Dan, your civilised parts of the country rely on our dirty problem cities to fund their continued existance, so if they go down the toilet sooner or later you do too. Still not care about what happens in the big city?

You need to bring in laws to fix all the problems you cause? then restrict them to the places where the problems exist

I'm not suprised. America is a violent place....

...however our violent crime has been fairly dramatically (if not quite steadily) going down over the past decade, whereas, unless I'm mistaken, violent crime in the UK has been on the increase.

I think they just need more police actually doing shit.

I feel nervous when I see a policeman, because where I grew up, you only saw them AFTER a crime had been committed. So my association has ended up that more police means the area is getting worse.

And despite all the talks we had by policemen when little, they stopped at about age 8, and so when I grew up, and learnt that the authority figures were people too, and actually started to be more effected by crime, and notice it more, the image of a policeman as protective authority wasn't strong enough. I mean, I don't know if I'd ever report a rape, and I know a lot of my friends have said the same.

And that's nothing to do with the police themselves, or a lack of guns, it's to do with a relationship with the police as a whole, that's sustained, and an association that police help stop crime, rather than being indicators of more crime.

Look at you. You're too stupid to ascertain the difference between a licensed, trained, law abiding citizen who believes in the basic right of man to defend themselves and an illegal serbian immigrant walking around a play world carrying a fully automatic weapon, taking potshots at people, running hits, selling drugs, etc - all right in front of policemen he can then hop in a car, drive off a cliff, get up, and walk off the radar of.

Yeah Mewa, if I were you, I would rest my case too - no sense sinking all that money into lawyers when you're going to lose.
