The only reasonable answer to this question is peer pressure. Borgs kept undermining his own mod's decisions, so much so that they all got fed up and were going to quit en masse and start their own forum. Borgs had a choice, to keep Wordforge, or let the community be split in two, and forum members having to choose which retard to support in the cripple fight.

There was a time when Elwood decided he may no longer want to own the board any more, and was thinking of selling it off. So from what I hear, Nick cranks up the whispering sweet nothings into Elwood's ear, in the hopes that if it got sold, it would be sold to HIM.

I've seen quite a few threads moved in recent weeks and generally with a friendly reminder as to why the thread was moved. The big one that comes to mind at the moment is EnlistedPerson. He has had several threads that have been moved to other forums.

I think that unfortunate part of this entire thing is that so much of it was aired publicly rather than being dealt with in PM or the shelter.

Oh, as far as I can recall, it had something to do with Nick and Tamar creating some kind of list of proposed improvements, and somehow Nick thought it might all lead to Elwood eventually selling the site to him. Then Chris spilled the beans, and Nick hated him and hated him, and cursed his name.

Or something like that. I'm not sure about Tamar's involvement, but as I recall she was somehow implicated.

This all happened in the wake of the CheekyMonkey disaster.

Wordforge is just one big quilt sewn of the patches of its various scandals.

I've done it both ways. Again, I submit it is JUST as fucked up to assign malicious motivesto a person you don't know as it is to take a interest - even if it were a romantic one - in a person you don't know.
