I have seen the homeless straight up camping with tents set up in the park on the northside of Seaport Village where the main public bathrooms are located. They wete put there on putpose because the homeless used to congregate around the bathrooms in the retail area and panhandle on the boardwalk which pissed off tourists so the city made sure the new park had bathrooms so they could shoo the homless there.

Oh, and the new downtown library is one big homeless daycare center. Complete with dozens of bathrooms because they knew it would be over run as it is near the homeless shelter.

City hall isn't the courthouse, Anna. Also the County administration building on Harbor Drive also has 24 hour public restrooms just like city hall does.

The city regularly does compliance sweeps now that the court order has been lifted. So they are trying to push the squatters and urban campers out of downtown. This has meant they get pushed into other areas like where I live. Also the canyon inbetween Balboa Park and Morely Field has a ton of homeless campers. Trying to use the nature trails there is like dodging a mine field of human feces. The city has 24 hour bathrooms at both Balboa Park and Morely Field but I guess walking that block is to difficult when you are drugged out and/or drunk becausr they just shit where ever. We aren't even talking moving three feet off the trail they just shit right in the middle of it.

A bunch of them set up their tents on the sidewalk, blocking it, and can't even be bothered to walk 10 feet from their own tent before shitting. A few weeks back I saw one guy just sticking his ass out the tent flap and shitting right there at the opening of his own tent. You'd think he wouldn't want to shit in his own walkway but I guess when you are that drugged out even standing up is too much effort.

When you are down there today, Anna, maybe you can do a little video interview with our urban campers aandask them where they are from? I am willing to bet 80% are not from here as that has been typical for years and years. There was a massive influx when the mayor had his 1000 vets program promising to get 1000 vets free homes. Many came all the way from the east coast thinking they would get a free apartment in San Diego for life. It is amazing how the promise of freebies does attract the moochers.

When I volunteered at St. Vincents around two years ago I would hand out business cards for a local dqy labor temp agency who would hire all vomers for the day. Many if not most of the jobs were downtown so in walking distance. If anyone called I would have gotten a small finders fee but not one out hundreds ever did seek work there. Hell, when I assisted at a resume writing worl shop at St. Vincents hardly any of the thousand or so people sheltered there would come. We were lucky to get 3-4 with 1-2 being serious about actually finding work. They just weren't interested in working as that got in the eay of drinking and drug use.

I turned it off a little less than a week ago. The Ukrainian wonder is quoting an old post. I guess he is just a slow reader.

I have actually been trying to use the prediction software on occasion. If I could get used to using it quickly it would make typing faster and more accurate, It is not just auto correct. It actually seems to use an algorithm to predict what you will say. I think it is based on the technology developed for hawkings. It is now harder to type on a plain keyboard because I got so used to certain things like contractions being automatically made.

There are good parts about it but you have to get used to how it works. I have gotten better, but it still can be somewhat bothersome.

To get you back on target, do you really want the homeless using the public restrooms? Yes, I know it sucks to have them shitting in the street, but they are destructive to the public restrooms and unlike the trans community actually do cause violence in the restrooms. Those rest rooms become shower rooms, and places where they can privately rob or threaten you. They can and do wait in the womens room and follow them in because there are no guards.

If it becomes a place like that the weaker of the homeless are not going in there anyway. They will shit on the street because they could have trouble in the place.

There are better solutions to cleaning up the streets than just putting public restrooms. You actually have to solve for homelessness and the reasons for it rather than hoping they will just go in public bathrooms respectfully. There are ways to lower the population and make a difference. It is just they might cost money.
