I’m not sure where I stand on this at all to be honest. Gturner is without doubt, a troll. He cuts and pastes ultra right wing nonsense over and over again, continually for the sole purpose of getting a rise out of people. Most of the right leaning posters on this board don’t even agree with the bullshit he posts. Is that a rule infraction? I doubt it. Then of course there is the posting frequency, did I read the other day he was blasting out an average of 60 posts a day? The majority of which are trolling. Now this would be against the rules at other boards but is this a problem here? Again, I’m struggling to see the rule that was broken. My thoughts on both of the above is that it’s probably not justified, but then if you delve a bit deeper and see that the admin team have given him very specific warnings about his behaviour and noted that they felt this Enterpriser type behaviour contributed to losing members at TBBS then you can see why they went with this option. Does gturner and his style spoil my enjoyment of this place? In all honesty he probably does. I have no problem reading the opinions of the rest of the right of centre posters, I do however have a problem with the sheer volume and lets not beat about the bush, continual propaganda that this clown posts. I don’t want to spend time at a board which is dominated by one point of view (from either side). So with that, I really don’t have a side of the fence to fall on. I was/am against the VR in principle, but then again, it’s a nice place to put Gturner in the hope he can be rehabilitated into someone who could maybe tone it down and give us his views instead of the alt right crap he has been spouting. And with all the rushing to defend this arsehole, let’s not forget he has in the last few months posted some very unsavoury shit about rape, and assassination. If it was up to me, he would have had some time off a while ago, for actual offences rather than making up new rules. Finally, maybe the VR banishment was worth it just to read Flashlight having another wailing hissy fit.

I don't particularly like it either, not the least because I feel like a terrible hypocrite for supporting it. But frankly, Enterpriser did damage TBBS. Luckily they had a massive user base and bounced back, although you could make the argument that TNZ and Misc never really did. I see the same posting pattern in use by gturner. He's quite smart and very funny when he wants to be, and he could probably be a hugely valuable member here if he wanted to. He does not though. He wants to be a disruptor, like Enterpriser. So, this is where it's at.
Yes. I've also had my board experience diminished by Gul, John, and Anna. When gturner's dumb ass did post something that might be interesting to discuss they would wreck the thread by posting recipes or in the most recent example talk about running 8 miles.
Indeed. This goes beyond hypocrisy. The pie "distraction" as a trolling motif is blatant and undisguised; it is infuriating. Yet no one on the right has called for them to be banned for it. Gturner makes statements - statements that could be refuted, if John's side wasn't so lazy/scared/worthless - that at least have a logical flow to them. In fact, many of them are downright genius. John literally can't handle it, so he bans Gturner from everywhere but his stupid little pet project: The Gitmo Room.

If that was the criteria, then Diacanu has historically been the main culprit over the years. There's no contest. Dickynoo's fingers are apparently glued to his keyboard and he clearly has nothing else to occupy his time. I don't see Dickynoo being banished. How many times have I seen Dickynoo responding to his own posts because nobody else is talking to him in threads? More recently the main annoyance has been whoever resurrected teh baba persona. Now that's truly spam. If it was consistently funny spam maybe it wouldn't be so bad. But it's not. I see gturner's threads. Some I read, some I don't. I don't always post in his threads. He starts a lot of threads. But I don't see that as a negative. He's volunteering his time to provide content. That's how WF survives. People taking the time to post new content. Nobody else is being prevented from starting as many threads as they like. If somebody wants to be the liberal version of gturner, more power to them. More for me to read here. If I wanted to post at a leftist site where people are stealth banned for posting conservative articles and insane PC speech codes are enforced, I'd go to Democratic Underground or back to TBBS. But as I've said, arguing with them is pointless. You can either boycott WF and leave them with an empty sandbox, or you can take the site away from them, or you can start up another site that adheres to the founding principles of WF under the leadership of someone who will never tolerate Neroon-types and abhores the concept of speech codes and safe spaces for the emotionally unequipped.
