Then maybe the Palestinians should learn to stop poking Isreal. It's been decades, they can't act like they don't know what response they are going to get. I don't think Isreal are saints, they do some bad stuff too, but at this point what are the Palestinians expecting? In Hamas' defense, the ground/soil in much of the ME is rock-hard. Digging a deep hole takes some real elbow-grease.
That said, chopping up bodies and leaving parts spread across a vast area of real-estate is the preferred method.

I really don't see how you can say that. Palestinian territory continues to be slowly eroded away in the occupied areas, much of this occurs by way of forced evictions, in place if whole Israeli families are settled. The idea that one one side is provoking the other is ridiculous in it's ignorance and it is not to condone the methods by which Hamas challenge Israel to nonetheless recognise that both the conflict itself is multi-faceted and the conduct of each side often raises questions of acceptability.

My (Jewish) grandfather used to say that the Israelis were no better than the Nazis. That is a man who lost close family in the Holocaust. While the comparison is hyperbolic, it does not come out of nowhere.

This blind nonsense of taking sides just because it's the standard position of one's political allies fails to grasp what has become a very complex situation and one where both sides long ago lost any claim to righteousness.

I have a book (yes, I read actual books along with how-to magazine articles) about overpopulation.
Both the Jews and Palestinians are trying to "out-breed" each other to become the dominant group in the Gaze Strip. Everybody loses! They all live like sardines. The point is that is our (the worlds) real problem - too many fucking people. Eventually the whole world will be like the Gaza Strip - living on top of each other.

The majority of civilians on both sides just want to be able to live their lives safely and happily, without having to worry about death falling from the sky onto them.

Leaders on both sides don't dare to be seen to make a single concession, so keep butting up against each other and pressing the limits. Surprise surprise, this means conflicts keep happening.

However while leaders on both sides are just as bad as each other, Israel is much stronger, which means the Palestinians get fucked over more.

In the long term Israel is making it worse for themselves, because it's close to (if not already way past) the point at which there is enough land left for a viable Palestinian state. All their expansion means is that eventually they will end up having to adopt a single state solution or operate segregated ghettos in perpetuity.

This will go on as long as the likes of Hamas are being protected and hidden by the Palistinian population. Of course Israel will strike back whenever they stick their heads out. Kill one or two, ten will follow out of the poverty. But never mind, the Israelis are doing their part too by electing the same hardliners again and again. How can one expect different results by trying the same BS yet again.

I can understand both sides - the Israelis are being threatened and provoked all the time while the Palis live like sardines without any perspective. The best way to end this endless fighting would be the chance to prosperity. Most of us would turn to violence against the 'enemy' when death looks like salvation from all the suffering. It's forgotten quickly when you have actual goals to achieve.

 

ANY weakness Israel shows, any hint of squeamishness, will immediately be used against them.
