Before Diacanu and you engage in a 20-page pissing contest, can I clarify for you? Diacanu said "ban all the homos they want" not "ban all the homos" as you stated in your post. There is a difference between those two statements, because a bakery may have banned as many as they want, and that number could still be far less than all of them (e.g. just a few dozen).

So you didn't edit the text of his quoted post, but you may have inadvertently changed the meaning and misquoted him when you requoted him in your post.

I don’t think it’s a free speech issue as far as the law and the constitution is concerned. Twitter can do whatever the hell it wants. That doesn’t mean I have to agree with them or that I can’t complain about the things they do. I’m totally in support of a public platform with clearly spelled out rules that everyone can use that is fairly moderated, but I doubt certain people on the left would be okay with that because it would have to allow the Klan and it would have to allow people to say things like, “maybe Covid was a lab leak.” These are the type of things that Twitter doesn’t allow.

We’ve seen people like Jordan Peterson and Ben Shapiro get banned from college campuses because the whiney twerp lefties can’t handle their worldview being challenged.

Okay, I'll bite: Who would manage control of the computers involved in such a platform? You know, things like maintaining the servers, updating the software, etc.

Yet the ACLU went to court for the Klan for their right to free speech and won. We have to stand up for everyone’s rights, not just the people that we agree with. That used to be universally understood, but the last twenty years has eroded that understanding for some people.

The KKK has also lost a lot of first amendment cases. Much of it depends on the specifics of the case.

The upshot is that when somebody insists they did no wrong, you can't take it at value -- but when they admit they fucked up, the admission is usually either (a) accurate, or (b) understating what actually happened.
