Watching 'your on sky sports' last night, same old bullshit by the presenters and the punters phoneing in. One good result and England are the best team in the world again, heading off to win the world cup.

Conveniently forgetting what happend to golden generations 02 and 06 :jayzus:

    Liverpool have beaten Manchester United.

'Pool were in control of this match,
and are now at the top of the table.

Up next: Chelsea at Manchester City.

    In the Wordforge fantasy league,
Camren is in front, Hood in third,
    and Dan Leach in fourth.

    In second place are Demoncleaners,
a team from the U.S. which has joined
    our league this year.

I missed this one... hmm, Torres is almost irreplaceable (evidenced by his destruction of the blueshite today :D ) but every player has his price. If they offer the Reds really silly money, the yanks will take it. If Liverpool had decent owners who kept their promises then we wouldn't need to sell our best assets to fund the new stadium. But the yanks are a pair of crooks who've taken Liverpool for a ride, and I've no doubt they'd sell Liverpool's most valuable players if the offer is good enough.
Personally I would never accept the sale of players to fund the new stadium. The stadium was supposed to be financed by the new owners - hence the reason Liverpool took so many years to find new investors! Trust incompetent ex-owner David Moores and his chief henchman Rick Parry to choose the worst possible buyers, despite some decent alternatives! :bang:

Yeah, I think selling to those two will be the source of some serious grief for the red menace (scouse edition).

And can anyone else believe Hull are beating Arsenal? :soma:

Arsenal are sort of my 'second' team because they're so class to watch, but my love of the underdog wants me to see Hull win.

Funny, I was laughed at when I said Hull were best placed to stay up, and yet here they are! What're the odds they'll end Chelskis home run? :D

    Spurs are looking absolutely awful.
What are the odds on Ramos going this week?

Looking at it, depending on the next 6 games, both the Spuds and the Barcodes will be in serious danger of relegation.

Both need to pick up at least 12 points from those 6, and I doubt either will manage it.

I think Stoke, and two from Newcastle, Spurs, Bolton and West Brom are going down. Get a better picture come New Year, but I'd be surprised if its anything different.

I would laugh my tits off if Spurs AND Newcastle go down. Two clubs whose supporters believe they deserve better than what they usually get, ending up with a lot less!
May the football gods make it happen. :hail:

    I don't think he'll go this week.

To be honest, I'm a little surprised at just how bad its been. I never believed all the nonsense about top 4, or even top 6 for that matter, once Keane and Berbatov were sold....but bottom of the league are a bitter pill to swallow. One of the commentators at yesterday's match said that none of the players looked like they cared about fighting for the cause...and that's worrying because even if Ramos gets the boot we may still have a sqaud of players who don't give a shit.

Incidently, I was one of the few Spurs fans who said that Ramos wasn't going to be the new messiah by any measure. Aside from Sevilla his record is one in which he's never been at a club for more than a year and never won anything of note. Just because he had one big success at one club doesn't make him the next Mourinho.

    A big week coming up:

    Champions League

    Tuesday
    Man United at Aalborg
    Porto at Arsenal

    Wednesday
    Chelsea at Cluj
    PSV at Liverpool

    Premier League

    Sunday
    Aston Villa at Chelsea
    Liverpool at Man City

    In the Wordforge League

After six weeks, Dan Leach is in first place,
    but six teams are within six points of the lead;
and each of those is in the top 10% worldwide.

Well, when a club has won all that liverpool has, it does bring with it a level of expectation from the fans. It's natural for a successful club. Not sure why Spurs or Newcastle think they're worthy of anything greater though.

Spuds lose again... Although the story should be all about Hull, who are just doing insanely well, and remind me of Ipswich a decade back.

And Liverpool actually look like genuine title contenders, although I suspect some off-pitch shenanigans may yet hobble them.

But spuds... Looking at their fixture list for the next couple of months and they could be down by Christmas :soma: If they don't beat Stoke in 2 weeks, I suspect Ramos will be vamos

Watching Soccer AM yesterday, they were talking about the Scotland game and the conversation got round to Chris Iwelumo's miss... Bloke from Primal Scream: 'Stephen Hawking would have scored from there...'

Helen Chamberlain felt the need to apologise in case any cripples were offended, but honestly, could anyone argue with the original opinion? ;)

:bang: Can't believe I dropped Zaki from my lineup, I expected a better defensive display from the scouse twats.

As for Spuds... 6 points from safety, even at this point in the season, is bad. Especially given the next 3 games are, iirc, Bolton, Liverpool and Arsenal. They might beat us, we're a bogey team for spuds, but we're playing in an unsettled manner. If they don't... Well, that'll be pushing 10 points from safety after a quarter of a season :soma:
