Half-time at Stamford Bridge, Liverpool leading 1-0. Harry Redknapp is now the manager at Spurs. In the Wordforge league, Ecky has jumped out to at 21 point lead. He has Ronaldo and Lampard in his squad. Only 18 points separate 2nd place from 8th.
^ Mine have been woeful too...and I've used my wild card already! And how about the mighty Reds ending Chelsea's home record, eh? Mancs and rent boys already taken down this season. dare I say it, this could be Liverpool's year!
I think that Liverpool have a very good chance to win it. They have a solid team, with some depth. It's a good thing that they kept Xabi Alonso. Chelsea have some players who tend to get injured. It's a short week in Fantasy Football. The next deadline is Tuesday evening, 7:30 GMT. Ecky's team is so strong, he has to decide who to start. In the last couple of weeks, he has left some points on the bench, and the race has tightened up. There are now only 39 points between first place and ninth.
OK. I've got my team set up the way I want it. Just 30 points behind Ecky, with 28 weeks to go. I need each team in the Premier League to concentrate on stopping Ronaldo.
Oooohhh! Moved into a 41 point lead with 3 players yet to play tonight. Good look on stopping the brylcremed diving machine Cobalt As for this last few matches... Shows why the EPL is the strongest league going, who would've thought Redknapp would have such an effect on Spurs? From 2 points to 9 in three matches, including Arsenal and Liverpool? I think this is where the Scouser's season starts falling apart - they've been lucky at times, imperious at others, and it looks like that luck has run out. If they don't perform from now on, they'll be punished I figure. And Stoke and Hull giving it some Great to see.
I'll be taking you down soon, don't get too comfortable at the top there. And the shock defeat to Spurs is only a minor blip. When the team at the top plays the team at the bottom, it's natural for the (then) leaders to get complacent. Now with Torres back, I expect liverpool to get stronger and really push Chelsea. Until about January, that is...
Absolutely bloody typical My 2 biggest spends in my team were Adabayor and Torres. On the day that Torres is just about back from injury Adabayor is ruled out for 3 weeks with a crocked ankle.... GIT
Just caught some of McClown talking before the City/Twente match, and he's lost most of his Goldmember accent He still talks a load of shit however...
Aaaaand Liverpool get twatted by the Spuds. I suppose the scousers could argue they made some changes, but then so could Wigan And go on Burnley! This seasons Barnsley?
I hope they win the cup. Not much of a cup, but worthwhile. Hell, unlikely as it is, I hope Arsenal win everything - they're the only team who play attractive footie all the time. Man ure come close, and Chelski are coming along, but Arsenal are pretty much the only team worth paying to watch week-in, week-out. And I'm stunned at what a case of the Redknapp can do a club
What I really admired was that 19 year old - can't remember his name - who was put through by the 16 year old, somebody tried to hack him down in the box, but instead of rolling over for a penalty, he just charged through and scored. That's English football at its best.
Chelsea have been held 0-0, at home, by Newcastle. Liverpool, also at home, were held 0-0, by Fulham. Arsenal were beaten 3-0, at Manchester City. In fantasy football, Ecky entered today in the top 1.5% of the world, with 45 point lead over Camren. I think that today's results could see that gap narrow a bit.
I transferred out Robinho and Turner on Friday, fuckin' great decision that was! And now I need a replacement for Defoe, who's out for a month!
Could be an inspired decision. Everyone's writing Newcastle off but to be honest, I think they can get a result in every one of their remaining 8 games. the only game they can't possibly win is the match against Liverpool at Anfield (could sneak a draw tho). The other games are all winnable, even for a hapless Newcastle team.
The man's got some balls, I'll say that. What Geordie wants to be remembered as the man who took Newcastle down?
Everyone was writing us (Spurs) off a few months ago. It's footbll. I've learned to judge on the last day of the season.....
Yep. West Ham 2 seasons ago are also a good example. With 10 games left they were doomed but put together a superb run to escape the drop on the last day of the season. I can see Newcastle doing something similar now they have old Mary Poppins in charge.
That side of the draw is wide open. On the other side, Barcelona are in good shape. Essien dominated the mid-field for Chelsea, as Maschanero did not play. Hiddink exploited a weakness in Benitez' set peice marking, and Liverpool are just about done.
Disasterous result and performance. So disappointing to see Chelsea dominate at Anfield and all but kill the tie off in just the 1st leg.
At least we won't have to listen to any more shit from arrogant scousers about how they are the kings of Europe.....well, for a few weeks anyway.
