There's a gal at my job, who pretty much ticks all my boxes, just one problem, she's like 20. Not late 20s, but early 20s. She's also like your typical early 20-year-old who's still figuring out who they are and what they want to be. She's not like someone who's that age, has everything figured out as to who they want to be, what they want to do, and are striving for it. She's just living her life choosing things she likes. She shows up at my door nekkid, and well..., but otherwise, nothing doing.

Sure, I'd say that it is possible for someone in their early 20s to have a healthy romantic relationship with someone who's significantly older than them, but that would very much depend upon the individuals involved. In this case, I would very much be a ball and chain holding her back from being who she wants to be (whenever she figures that out), so it wouldn't be fair to her for me to try to snag that.

The one thing I will say about ephebophiles is teenage girls get paid for dating them. Even as a senior in high school I went stag to the prom because I was not going to pay for a Jr. or younger to go with me because they couldn't get a ticket.

Part of the problem is we teach animals like FF to be this way because attraction to a physical form is mostly learned. Young girls are not born with make up, jewelry, short skirts, tight tops, bikinis, or high heels. All of those things are man made and therefor learned as sexy.

On this note, there's this red headed ukranian girl at work a few departments (client finances-I'm in shelter/housing support) removed that really seems to be lighting up whenever we pass each other. I know she at least thinks I'm funny. Maybe in her mid-late 30s. Really tempted to take a shot despite an age gap that involves two digits).
That's one of the great things about community services... a lot of confident, educated, passionate, and attractive women in the field.

Why would I?

By the time the younger person is in their 30s, I feel like a 10-year age gap isn't that big a deal. A 35-year-old and a 45-year-old aren't at dramatically different places in life.

Long-term, there's some weirdness around "oh, I'm ready to retire, but my spouse is at the peak of their career and in a director-level position that they have no plans to leave anytime in the next decade." But on the other hand...

... the downside of marrying within community service is that there's a decent chance you'll both be working till you drop dead.

Of course, that doesn't need to get in the way of having some fun. And maybe you Canucks pay community service positions better than we do in the land of freeeeeeeedumb.
