Chup commiserations and all that, but there's absolutely no need to use the term "apartment" to placate the merkins on this site.
Hmmm... any mates willing to take in a lodger? That has to be a cheap option of living away from your folks. I would've thought there'd be someone in these cash strapped times.
Thought about it.....but ultimately I can save more money with the folks and use my old room. They're within commuting distance of the city so it's not as if I'd be removed from London....and it's only for as long as the job search goes on, which should hopefully just be a few months.
Neither "apartment" nor "flat" makes much sense, really. Though I guess "one unit within a multi-residence building" is a bit cumbersome.
Dang!! This musta been really hard for you to post. You really shoulda told us LESS about ya superwoman and the upcoming but now canceled nuptials. Moving back home??? This part makes it all seem like a fake CNN report. And I haven't even read the whole thread yet. Now I will go back and see what has been posted. But so far, this is golden.
Well it must be true. Oh well, happens to the best of us. Whadayagonnadoo?! I think she didn't like you slacking off on work. As far as work, you were supposed to kick it into high gear, not stall out.
From what I remember your Real Estate market did the same roller coaster ours did, so I am assuming selling is out the question? Personally if you are unhappy with your career, and selling is an option, I'd look into taking your losses and moving on to try something different. Worse comes to worse, you could always move back to Law once that market is looking up again, and you might a more rewarding career. But yeah, that sucks. Also don't worry too much about the whole moving back with your parents thing... it's one thing to move BACK in to your parent's basement for a short time... quite another to have never left.
Of course it's certified. Escrow is fine........although not sure I like the idea of it being dismantled as it was designed specifically to our order. You realise that the band has diamonds running either side of the main stone, right?
Pretty much. It tanked so much it fell into negative equity. Luckily with the recent rise it's balanced out again, but I'm waiting for it to go into positive equity before I consider selling. Trouble is, I don't know where to start and don't have the time or savings to decide. Indeed.
Have you considered whatever you guys call JAG? It'd still be law, but it'd be something completely different, and you'd get to do things you'd have a chance to otherwise.
How about lecturing adult education classes? Loads of courses carry law modules. It shouldn't be too bad a pay cheque, plus fairly flexible working hours. I don't think you even need a teaching qualification -- pretty certain my business law lecturer didn't.
Funnily enough I have. But I'd need to learn all the law....so it basically means starting at the bottom.
Yeah, but won't they teach you all that after you join up? So basically they are paying you to go back to school, something I have no problem letting the Army do.
He's got two modes, troll or spam. Figure which he's doing now. You'll be fine, mate. Chicks just drain the purity of essence of our bodily fluids anyway.
In NYC, I notice British guys like to wear tight fitting suits. Whats up with that?? They also wear suit jackets that have the slits on the sides. This has gone out of fashion in the US long ago. The slits make the bottom of the jacket look like a flap. And it sticks up a bit on those tight fitting suits. El Chup, if you wear suits like that, this could be a factor in the demise of your relationship. Think about it.
Oh, believe me, got no problem with troll or spam. I just find it amusing that he can troll with the best of them (or so he likes to think) but when something happens in his life, such as if something unfortunate happens to the child prostitute he likes to call his daughter, we inevitably get a whiney thread in which he can't stand any heat he gets. The hypocrisy in interesting.....if perhaps already realised in the past.
Tight suits no. Suit jackets with flaps, yes. Anyhow, since when was the US the fashion capital of the world? Are you aware of just how astoundingly awful your men's tailoring is? Hell, your best suits look like they are from George at Asda or Primark. Don't know what they are? Shame. You might be able to get some fine outfits from there.
Well pal, Over here in NYC, the worst dressed man are the Brits. Tight suits, fucked up shoes, no undershirts, fucking hairy man tits showing through shirts. Sheeesh!! The other day I saw this dude with a tight suit and a friggin bowler hat cocked to the side. All he needed was a walking stick. You go, Johnnie Walker!!
