I expect the real reasons are 1) D&D are out of CGI budget which is also why Ghost is no where to be seen. 2) You have to kill someone to take their face and she probably doesn't want to kill a regular servant. 3) I don't think she is actually plotting anything, both really are damaged goods, and (in the books at least) are still just teenage girls.
Yeah, someone on the interwebs pointed out that some of Arya's recollections were totally inaccurate and Sansa would have known that. Sansa wasn't standing there on the stage watching as Ned was killed, she was blubbering and begging for his life. And Arya saying she wondered what it was like to be a "Lady", is pure bullshit.
Here's something I'm not sure if I understand. During the Battle of the Rock Out In The Middle Of A Frozen Lake, why did all of the people with "mundane" weapons switch to dragon glass just to fight a bunch of zombies? Does it work better on zombies? Because it doesn't seem like it does. Either way you have to do more than the normal amount of damage.
As I understand it, yeah, dragonglass is specifically mentioned as being able to kill the Zombies. I agree with dinner on the quality of the writing. Having moved past the books has finally allowed things to accelerate (and yay, we finally get dragon combat action!), but the writing has gotten sloppy and full of holes.
Also agreed on the writing. But yes, Dragonglass is the Others' Kryptonite, which is why Jon went to see Dany in the first place, because she is completely coincidentally sitting on a heap of deus ex machina.
I knew it would kill White Walkers...I just didn't know it was better than regular old weapons against the zombies.
I don't think the show is putting a lot of emphasis on the difference. It's all just the frozen undead from beyond.
My first thought when I saw them using short blades instead of their long blades was to keep their arms from falling off from exhaustion.
Dragonglass kills Wights and White Walkers but clearly not all of Jon's group had dragon-glass (Valyrian steel ) weapons since it's actually pretty rare. So you really have to beat a Zombie into pieces or set them on fire if you don't have Valyrian steel weapons. Jon should have tried to gather more Valyrian steel weapons for his group before setting out. We see Jorah has a Valyrian steel dagger because he's the one who stabs the zombie bear with it and the bear immediately drops. Jon knows the power of dragon glass so he should have told everyone straight up to use only the dragon glass based weapons they had.
oh they were switching to dragonglass? i assumed that due to the amount of zombies they just chose quick-kill weapons. before the hound even lifts his hammer, five zombies eat him alive alright then.
I thought Valyrian steel and dragon glass were two different things, each useful against the Others. But yes, either way, once you have a king and a queen co-operating and sitting on a mountain of dragon-glass, go get some better gear before you cross the wall again.
Well looks like I was wrong. Dragon Glass is separate from Valyrian Steel. In the books no one knows how V-Steel was made hence such weapons are rare and passed down from family lines. I still think Dragon glass is needed to make V-Steel weapons and we will see it being figured out in a later episode. Probably Gendry does it based on those books that Sam stole from the Citadel.
Alright folks. Don't clixk on this video unless you want to know the whole plot of the season finale. It has leaked and it... Wow.
I like how nonchalantly you deal with your daughter's kidnapping. A less seasoned parent might have gotten emotional.
They already fucked that up by season 1. If you'll remember, Cersei talked about her first child by Robert, a little black-haired boy who died in infancy.
??? I just blew my own mind... What if the Night King is a Greenseeing Warg just like Bran... In Eastwatch, we saw Bran warg into several ravens at the same time to try and spy on the Night King. What if the action of reanimating the dead is just him warging into them?
That would be entirely different from the way every other warg works. Literally every other warg can only warg into living things.
Well that would explain why the army is so damn slow. Think of the CPU power the Night King needs to control all the dead. It's no wonder he likes the cold. It's to keep his brain from melting down.
Great episode. Littlefinger finally breaks and shows himself to be the pussy he's always been. Great shot of the Ice Dragon doing his work. I can't see why anyone would trust Cersi nor why anyone would fall for Euron being a sudden coward. Sam did see the diary entry Gilly was talking about. Brillant. I hope it's one of the books he brought with him. Would make life easier. And now we see Robert's Rebellion was for nothing. Rest of the episode was okay. Man I hope they speed up the production on this. I can't wait.
The rebellion was still for the mad king killing Edard's father and brother along with the mad king wanting to kill Ed, Robert, and Jon Aryan but the original "you kidnapped and raped my daughter" thing is out the window.
