The gaming industry seems to be getting the cart before the horse in trying to break into the female demo. They should be trying to get the more untapped female demo, but I do not think women want to play an ugly woman, and that is the problem. sexy attractive avatars may be a complaint about why INCELs are disgusting, but I do not think women want to play less attractive ugly women in their fantasy games.

I think te biggest way to attract women is to ban annoying INCELs. Who wants to play a game where the opponent goes into a pissbaby tirade about the evils of women because he lost a match to you? Who wants to sit there and here the whining of INCELs about how women suck and words like faggot and gay tossed around by some dick who has been playing in the basement way to long, and then he teabags you in his violent rape fantasy because the developers left that move in because he has no purpose to buy their product if he cannot fantasize about beating you and sticking his balls in your avatar's mouth?

The male gaming industry is mostly toxic losers who want a fantasy about being a winner. You have to clean that up to attract new people, but you will not clean it up because the main buyers of your game are toxic INCEL CHUDs.

This also does not mention you need to break into the female social circle and get other women to play the game so women will play it so they can talk about it. I do not think you are going to crack into the female social circle that has so much else to do that rewards them. Why play an attractive female avatar when you can spend the same amount of time and effort and be more attractive. It is the same difference as playing guitar hero and learning how to play the guitar and make music. It is the easy road, and it has no real life rewards to be an attractive woman online, or to be a great warrior in a world full of INCEL brats you will never meet.

In a way the idea of inclusion of women into the videop gajme market is a great replacement of an industry that is purely driven by males. It is like allowing women to vote made it so all of a sudden the great white male was replaced as the only valuable thing out there, and from the perspective of insecure little white male cis straight snowflakes, that does mean they are not as special to the powers that be, and they are defeatable.

However, viewing video games as a psychological attraction more like porn, changing male video games to include a female they do not want is only going to drive them to the fantasy products they do want. Instead the video game industry needs to make games for women, which I actually think is being done. Women play different games, because they have different values. I just do not think you are going to get the major proportion of women playing male style games. You have to have a value to the video game for women.

I actually view creative shopping apps to be the sort of viseo game that women talk about. If you can make their experience of getting the things that mean something to them and their peers an experience over video game tech, then women have a reason to be there. Timo, Etsy, and other online shopping aps are recommendations for entertaining ways to get products that they enjoy and have meaning to them. It is something they tal;k about with their friends, and it brings about the same exploratory fun as completing a video game level IMO. Maybe games need to have more options for their avatars because you really wear the same outfit all the time unless you get a new and better outfit. It seems to me when WOW started to allow you to change the textures of your armor styles a lot more dedication to appearence and that methodology caught a group of players into a further time sink because it mattered to them to have multiple outfits that did the same thing.

Looking into it there is a lot of ‘it depends on what you mean’ as in most recent studies are showing ~40/45% of total game purchasers are women however men buy more and more higher priced games per customer so sales stats skew more towards men.

However that is kinda the point. The studios know women, lots of women are buying games. So it’s not a ‘women don’t buy video games’ phenomenon it is a ‘women aren’t buying as many as they could’ one.

In other words it is an underserved/undertapped market. High room for growth. Dudes are about tapped out. Making these numbers up but it is easier to get someone to increase their spend from $100/year to $400/y than someone from $500 to $800 as there just aren’t enough playing hours in a year (for most people) to justify that increased spend.

This is a markets issue that you want to make a cultural one because your fee-fees are hurt you aren’t the only person being catered to anymore.
