Still, he should have been bright enough to see Sylar levitating the glass, and NOT had his back to him. Boy needs to read some comics.

I don't think Hiro ever used his powers on Peter.

Future-Hiro did - he came back and told Peter to save the cheerleader, save the world. He stopped time to do that.

When Peter was going to Issac's with Mohinda on the underground. I think.

He visited Peter early on when Peter and Mohinder were on a subway en route to visit Isaac for the first time. Time stopped for Peter and then future-Hiro popped in, sword and all, to tell Peter to save the cheerleader, save the world.

 Yeah, I completely forgot about that. It was so long ago, but so important to the story.

Not like Mohinder's stupid visit back to India.

Hmmm. I've been thinking about this. If you mean what he is currently looking for and we're on the same wavelength (possibly not as I have a screwy brain sometimes) that could be very interesting.

Has anyone read any of the comics they are putting up each week? I've only read the last one but was quite impressed, they don't really give away spoilers, but are intended to be taken as giving extended information that doesn't fit into the episode in one way or another.

Here is what was learnt in the last comic:

All first generation mutants? And now speculation that Mama and Linderman begat Nathan and Peter. Maybe the reason why Papa Petrelli was suicidal? At the moment, my money is still on an as yet unrevealed secret behind Papa Petrelli and his relation with Linderman. I suppose the secret could involve Nathan's parentage, but I was expecting something different.

Yeah, maybe, as with Hiro, they impose limits so he's not too powerful too quickly - leaving him some room for future growth.

I had the same feeling. But once before I underestimated the Mohindar character's script, so maybe he did something (presently secret) to Sylar before he left, that he'll use later (like a tracking isotope).

Where'd you get that he must be exposed to the power in action and not just the person? I’m more in line with Raoul’s analysis of what we know of Pete’s abilities:

Where'd you get those two bit of info - 'one at a time' and 'thinking about the person?' Imagined, comics/graphics, website, or something you saw on the show? When he was invisible with Sylar he didn't defend himself, but maybe he just hasn't learned yet. If you mean the scenes with Claude on the roof, that's not what I heard them say.

Hope you’re not bummed. So far they’ve handled it okay, imo. Even about the Petrelli boys’ odd incuriousness at their origins. I’ll do one: I hope they don’t make Linderman Nathan’s dad: “No, Nathan, *I* am your father.” Though now that Timmy and Sunshine have speculated on it, I wouldn’t be surprised if they tucked that one away for future use.

The greatest non-surprise surprise of the season, Sylar kills Isaac. Wonder what Isaac left up his sleeve?

The most heavy handed irony - a mass murderer crime lord with the power of healing.

And, overly simplified, Linderman and Sulu are Magneto, and Mama Patrelli, the Hatian (and Unknown Player?) are Xavier?

    Fun stuff.

^Well, for now it seems like Peter is limited to only powers that have been used on him or close enough to him (for instance, if he sees a mutant on the news spitting fire, I don't think he'd necessarily be able to use that power). And it seems like he can only use one power at a time.

The way he went about training with Claude, he had to picture the person who's power he wanted to use, and then he'd be able to use it, or something like that. Given time, he could probably hone his ability to be able to use more than one power at a time.

That's true. He seemingly was able to use Nathan's power even though Nathan never used his powers on him.

So future Petrelli comes in out of nowhere and stops time.

    That was fuckin' great.

First time watching this show I've been motivated to say such a thing.

So far (35 minutes in) a nice treatment of the standard time-travel/alternate reality story. Hopefully they won't go to that well too often.

I keep waiting for it to be the Mirror Universe one, but it never is! :weep:

They're still slogging through that long ass stretch of Xindi crap that killed the show.

    Damn straight!

    Tonight ROCKED!

I LOVE Future Hiro and Future Peter. If it take blowing up NY to get these guys every week I'll push the button!

If I may say, this is one of the more thoughtful takes on alternate timelines that i've seen.
