The are threatening them because Atlanta is getting big in the media production field because they told SAG to fuck off and now they produce a lot of TV and big screen stuff. Well, NC just killed their cash cow cities which is not good when you have spent huge amounts of taxpayer dollars on renovation projects that have torn up big areas of your big cities to make them look good for northern businesses migrating to new facilities. I do not6 get the bathroom bills for many reasons.

1. I gotta pee, and I am going to go. I am not actually fond of the ladies room. If the straight men ever wandered in a few of them they would realize on top of the urine and shit you have bloody menstrual chunks and bandages floating about.

2. Now as a person over 6 foot tall I tend to get noticed even when passing for a woman. Even blind people can tell who you are by the thumping of ceiling fans on your head when you wear heels. I can be pretty, but normal people tend to figure it out. So I will pee in the men's room. It is easier for me to hike up the skirt and pee than it is to try and hover due to the angle difference between the male nozzle and the female one. This is also why you may find that most trans men tend to use stalls. I do not want to sit on public toilets, so it is just fine with me to piss next to you in my dress. Oh, and if that disgusts you so much would you please stop trying to give me your number because it makes the piss crawl back up when some freako starts hitting on me in the bathroom while his wife and daughter are outside. Oh, and if you have less than five teeth (I am talking about you southern gentlemen here) don't smile at me in the bathroom because I might pee on you.

3. Despite your ignorance this bathroom shit is never going to help with the gay guys looking at your dick. They pee in the men's room anyway. The only reason I know gay guys go into the ladies room is when their hag needs some sort of help with her hair or make up, or if perhaps she needs a girlfriend's shoulder while she cries. If you straight dudes did not run for the hills at women's issues they would not need to help.

All this bill does is prey on ignorant people's fears. Transgender people who go in the bathroom are going there to pee. If someone is going into the bathroom to perv on others, they are the problem, not an entire group of people who just want to have the ability to pee without being accosted for it. What's irritating is that the main proponents of the bill say they do it to preserve the right to freedom of religion. What freedom? To oppress others? To discriminate against them? If so, then yes, this bill gives your religion that special right to circumvent the Constitution because you can't cope with people who are different from your rigid set of antiquated beliefs.

I'm hoping the Supreme Court smashes this bill into pieces, and then whacks McCrory on the nose with a rolled up newspaper, the little shit.

The big cities and tourist areas of NC are reliant on the attractions of huge corporate offices and growing manufacturing. Charlotte is growing rapidly because they are progressive and not just in the area of GLBT rights. They have huge areas of their city which have been torn up for high rise apartments and corporate offices. They have sprawling suburbs where the middle class is growing because the jobs are coming there. They have been growing their mass transit system and it is in renovation now to be prebuilt to supply an urban area with a focus on pedestrian traffic over commuter traffic. They use their street areas for a number of festivals throughout the year from many different cultures. If they start losing conventions and big corporate companies at this point they will fail on all their development bonds and investments. They are going to sink teir state for the yahoos in the rural areas who live off of public assistance and do not pay taxes. The small towns are a fucking disaster with dead main streets and people who cannot get employment off the farm.

This is what you get when you elect bobby jindal types who have no clue how to develop for bigger money and gerrymander poor white districts who pay a nominal amount of your taxes.

Well, I want it to hit them hard, but I don't want anyone undeserving to feel the impact of that. Maybe the Supreme Court could give McCrory a booting? They could just use a wingtip.

The problem is not the transgendered people, the problem is straight male pervs who might happily take advantage of any opportunity. Unfortunately we don't have bathroom monitors who could filter out the wrong set, so we'll have to make do with a simple rule that penises go in through this door and vaginas go in the other door. Honestly, I haven't heard any "freedom of religion" argument at all. What I'm hearing is that it's a public safety issue, which doesn't make a whole lot of sense either, but where are you getting this freedom of religion stuff?

Well, I live in NC, and this is the first I've heard of any religious freedom angle.

I do not see much of a public safety issue when you dress your little girls with string bikinies and daisy dukes with juicy and princess written on the ass. If you really cared about your children you might pay attention to them when te asre in the bathroom. You might actually try to punish rapists. You might put higher prison terms on child molestation than on someone caught with a joint. You might force idiots to give their kids healthcare instead of praying for help. You might want to slap punishments on school officials and clergy who hide sex offenses of administration, priests, teachers, and students on the football team. Hell, if you really were worried about kids in bathrooms and changing rooms you would actually install cameras on coaches and sports players who rape, molest, humiliate, and coerce other students on levels thousands of times more than every trans person ever.

it's not really the same bill. Georgia's is really ultimately only a "religious folks can snub gay weddings" bill in too broad language, and Gov. Deal has already said during the process that he didn't like it.

The NC bill is stone cold absolutism. It voids ALL local ordinances that go beyond state laws wiping out any protected class not mentioned in state law, and further forbids any government entity to have a policy other than genital segregation when it comes to restrooms.
