If someone killed your dog, what would you do to that person?

I would do one of two things, depending on whether the person in question has a dog. The most likely scenario is that the killer doesn't have a dog. I mean, what dog owner would kill another person's dog? In this case, I would find the dog-killer and kick his ass. If the killer has a dog, then I kill his dog right back. He deserves it.

What say you all?

I don't have a dog, but I wouldn't kill someone else's dog unless it was posing a mortal threat to an innocent person.

But if I had a dog and someone killed it for no good reason right in front of me, I'd think I'd probably have good reason to suspect he meant me harm as well and I'd do what I could to prevent him from harming me.

I'd kill his dog, his family, his friends, and I'd burn his house down.

Depends 100% on the circumstances.

I can think of instances where it might be totally justified, and others in which the only reason they killed my dog is because I didn't get them first.

He'd never be able to use his thumbs again, for starters...

Wow. Well, you know how I am toward the death penalty and things of that nature, but honestly, if someone killed my dog, God knows what would happen. Think of 16 years of pure unadulterated, unchecked rage, a very tightly sealed core deep down inside, a place where all anger, rage, jealousy, destruction and bitterness have welled up. Where the anger would make me see blood red, where it's all built up to near explosion.

Then let it be unleashed upon this guy.

I would make Uncle Albert's anger and rage look like the Dharma of a Buddhist Monastery.

Someone killed my dog, unintentionally, my dog that I loved like a son. I had a gun on me, and I did not shoot at them. This is as it should be.

Now if someone intentionally killed my dog, I think I would beat the living hell out of that person and then tie them up and dump them in the middle of I40.

Call me up and I'll come and help you. Nothing boils me over faster than animal abuse, particularly pet abuse.

While I don't own a dog, if a person intentionally killed my tortoise, I would most likely beat that person until I calmed down. If they happened to die before that happened, I don't think I'd be responsible due to temporary insanity.

If another animal killed my tortoise, I would throw that animal off a bridge, assuming it wasn't a bird.

I would find a pair of old track shoes with rusty spikes, and stomp the person to death.

You guys are being way too soft on this hypothetical person.

It would depend on the circumstances, but while I probably would kill them, the response would range from beating the ever living shit out of them down to suing them for everything they're worth. Of course in North Dakota, king's castle extends to the property line, so if they shot my dog and were on my property, I could get it in my head that they were trying to either steal from me or kill me...

Guess that makes you a dog owner who would kill another person's dog.

Because someone killed their dog first is the only good reason I can think of. Otherwise, you're just a sick, evil person.

I wouldn't enjoy killing a dog, but I would do it to get revenge on someone for killing my dog. It's unfortunate the dog has to die, but its collateral damage in this scenario. I don't think it's the same thing as being the first person to get pets involved.

If any of them were intentionally killed by someone, I would most likely beat the hell out of him/her to the point of near death, but make sure that they stayed alive in order to live with their injuries and possible loss of limbs for the rest of their lives.

I don't even want to think about what I would do if someone killed either of my cats intentionally...I would possibly be too distraught to do anything for a while...but when I did finally do something, I would probably use any weapon I could get my hands on and beat them to the point of near death...and quite possibly actual death.

i hate to admit that, cause I'm not a violent person...but I love my animals.

Heck, I've hit a friend for threatening to kick my cat. He didn't even have a reason...my cat was just gonna rub on his legs...he didn't even swat at him. needless to say, I don't let that guy near my animals anymore.

I do believe I would lose all self control if someone deliberately killed my little buddy.

Ya, same here...I'm not even sure what I would do. Probably things completely against all that I believe in just because I'd probly "loose it" for a brief period of time.

I've had pets but I never felt for them like they were my son or daughter. Pets come and go.

I'd have to say thats it rare to see your pet get killed in any way. You just find the body.
