    Yes, I am.

PS - I did a full detail stip of it, and left the ambi safety out. I think I need a new ambi - where it connects to the strong side safety, it appears to be worn. I be I could just take some pliars and bend it in.... hmmm.

I didn't know you could do that.

I'd suggest bringing every magazine you own, and top them off when ever you get a chance.

Yeah, but a Sig is no 1911. 8 round 1911 magazines are plenty big. The 10 round 1911 mags stick out waaay too far IMHO.

Another thing I would suggest is to wear a cover garment. They tell you you need one in the syllabus, but they don't make you wear one for the class. "Train like you fight" and all that. I just wear an unbuttoned button up shirt, but a light vest or jacket with a set of keys, or something else in the strong side jacket pocket to weigh it down a little would probably be ideal.

The Witty One-Liner drills in SSS I are harder than you think.

I kept saying, "Yo She-Bitch, Let's Boogie!" :bang:

Once I improvised with "Put the bunny back in the box", but even the instructors laughed at me. :(

You're using McCormick mags? Isn't your 1911 an aluminum framed weapon?

No, that was in response to magazine size. I just brought out the 10 rd. McCormick mags as a joke.

    1.05 Seconds.

47.93 seconds on Malfunction Drill the first time, 20.31 the second time, 3 mags each with a dummy round in 'em.

Oh, and I got 31 out of 36 2" targets. I was dissapointed about that, but it wasn't my gun I shot that with...

The extractor on my gun broke, so I got to finish the course with the instructors custom built kimber. :P (He actually got a kimber frame and put everything on himself.

Wow! Was that with a cover garment?

They just put a dummy round in each magazine?

That must be some kind of record! The best i did in Level I was 1.82. I think I was a little quicker in Level II (they didn't time us), but nowhere near that quick.

How many SSS handgun classes have you taken?

How'd you do on the combat course? That's where I totally screwed up in my level II class.

I royally screwed up the combat course. I apparently don't have the imagination to take boards and envision cars and bad guys etc. I was like "what?" and I just pretty much shot evey bad guy but one at the get go, real fast, and they were like, "Man! Muzzle direction" and I'm like, "I was down range!" and they were all "We thought you were gonna ace this!" and I'm like, "I don't get it! And I'm a paintballer!" ;)

I got "average" on the combat course.

Yeah. After doing the car thing, I was like..."now what do I do?" I kept looking for no-shoots when there weren't any, and didn't use cover as well as I should have.

and all the lights were out!

Plus my Sig kept short stroking. It was a mess!

    Me too.
