The song "I don't like Mondays" was based on a female school shooting.
"I don't like Mondays" was her only stated motive.

Actions speak louder than words. Show me the support for MAGA insanity. Quote me. Me being silent on something doesn't count. Here's what I supported when Trump was in office, a border wall, though I thought and still think a virtual wall would be better than what we ended up getting, border security, the so called "Muslim ban"(it wasn't really a Muslim ban), bringing jobs back to the US. including manufacturing, lower taxes, ending reliance on China, making Nato countries pay their fair share, pulling out of the Iran deal, pulling out of the Paris climate agreement, pulling out of Afghanistan/ negotiating with the Taliban, pulling out of Syria, moving the US. embassy in Israel to Jerusalem, killing Soleimani, lowering drug costs, eliminating the ACA, energy independence, and criminal justice reform. Those don't seem insane to me, they seem like standard Republican policies and probably some policies Democrats would support.

Yes I know that some school shooting have involved females, but the vast majority are carried out by teenage boys, there has to be a reason for that.

I It depends on how you define a historian. I would say that at the time I was more of a student of history. I freely admitted that years ago, yet some people here take every opportunity to mock me over over it even as recently as a few days ago. As to your question, I'm pretty sure you live in TN. so you wouldn't be able to vote for that dude unless you lived in Alaska in the mid 80s. Also, I don't know how old you are so I don't if you were even old enough to vote back then. Lastly, if you were eligible to vote for that guy back then, then you were young and probably had different political leanings back then so I don't think it's outside the realm of possibility that you did vote for that guy so I have no reason to not believe you. I don't think you're a known liar either.

For fuck's sake, dude, know the history of your fucking political party.
So, yes, despite the fact that I live in TN, I absolutely could have voted for him in 1992.

None of that constitutes "proof" that I did, and I certainly wouldn't be surprised if someone claimed I was lying based on my posting history here. Granted, if one were to dig back to my earliest days here, you could find posts where I supported Libertarian ideas. None of that should be considered "proof" that I did vote for him. It would leave it, I suppose, in the realm of possibility, but I wouldn't get my panties in a bunch if someone refused to accept that. After all, I know what I post here, I know who I am, and I'm not going to waste my time trying to prove to folks something that's basically impossible. It's not like they can pull up a board post from 1992 where I made the claim that I voted for Marrou that year. One, however, certainly can easily enough pull up posts of mine made following various elections where I've mentioned who I voted for in that election. Few, if any of those posts, would lead one to believe that I voted Libertarian in 1992.

On topic: I'm of the opinion, echoing @Elwood from a few years back, that an outright ban and confiscation is logistically impractical to the point of implausible.
Right now, the best way to tackle this is to implement bans tied to DV charges and enforce it.

    Two options.

    1. You're actively lying.

    2. You've missed the many many times that claims like this have been refuted by the actual stats showing that reduced access to firearms correlates heavily with reduced male suicide rates.

Seems like they were taken pretty seriously or at least somewhat seriously in the past up until yesterday when you were trying to claim I’m a far right winger. Now that I’ve proven you wrong you’re all of the sudden trying to say you don’t give a shit. You’re attempt at gaslighting is not going to work on me. The fact is that the majority of the members of this board has moved further to the left so you perceive me to be on the far right when I fact, I’ve moved ever so slightly to the left as well. You just can’t see it.

I live in a very liberal gun state with very "lax" rules and restrictions. Yet we have very low gun crime and literally no mass shootings of any kind. The idea this is a mental health issue is bullshit. It's a gun issue. It can be shown that a well armed civilian population can be a civil one as well.

I think it's both actually. We fail horrendously at both. If we restricted gun ownership based on responsibility and need, and funded UHC that included mental health services, it would still take a generation but we'd get there eventually.

Add in a strong social safety net so people aren't desperate and you are pretty much there.

But rich people don't want to be taxed and there's a lot of white men that are terrified by their media that they are going to be put into camps, so here we are. Stupid is as stupid does.

except generally speaking, that other method of suicide holds about as much water as an epidemic of mass stabbings when guns aren't available.

I'm not sure anybody has ever gone full Heathers in Canada? Not sure where you came up with the "attempt to take others out" part for anywhere this doesn't happen twice a week.

Oh yeah, the rewrite of Enterprise with Tucker as the lead? Crazy as it sounds, the series had a pretty decent following back in the day. I can't stress enough how much the Tucker fangirls and fanboys absolutely loathed Archer (which to an extent, I don't blame them for). I'm sure Bermaga knew this going into writing TATV and picked Tucker to kill off as a fuck you to the fans for enjoying Coto's changes to the show.

Exactly. The narrative here at WF is that I’m a kid. You guys can’t seem to make up your mind if I’m a teenager or a younger kid. You also think I’m stupid so if I’m a kid and I’m stupid then how would I be able manipulate the survey to make it say what I want it to say? What if I’m answering the questions honestly, then what? Your narrative falls apart because then you’d have to admit that I’m purposely lying to manipulate the survey so it says what I want it to say. In that case I’m not a kid, a twelve year old as you put it, and I’m not as stupid as you think I am or I’m telling the truth.
