My information tells me its a calculated risk on the part of loyalist forces, pulling back and forcing the rebels to lay siege to Tripoli. The rebels have captured key towns surrounding Tripoli, cutting off suplies to Loyalist forces. The noose is closing, and its just a matter of time now. 2 of his 3 sons are also in custody. I imagine they'll be killed.

Also, it appears the Poles have been supplying the Rebels with weapons. I was wondering where those off the shelf T 55 tanks came from..... I also wish my "smart phone" could upload a link to that. Google fu, people.

That idea has pretty much back-fired (no pun intended). See pic....

Anyway, if Sharia Law puts the general populace out of the frying pan + into the fire.....once again one more reason for the US to STAY THE FUCK OUT OF THE SANDBOX!

There were some. But, IIRC, I said at the time that Obama was counting on there being no way the Reps could successfully fight him on the issue because they'd be cast as supporting Qaddafi.

Regardless, do you think it's OK for the president to attack another country without Congressional approval, even if Congress can't get around to condemning that president for doing it?

No. We were saying that he should have been impeached for violating the War Powers Act. Calling for it? Hardly - it makes no sense to call for it when it would never succeed. The votes aren't there.

Also, IIRC, Qaddafi's opponents have declared him defeated or "soon to be defeated" before. I'm all in favor or the happy day but it hasn't happened yet.

Apparently there is a significant Islamist contingent among the rebels. It's not necessarily that bad though, as there are lots of moderate Islamists about. It really depends on how much power they get in a new regime and how fundamentalist they are.

Even you won't disagree that ousting Gaddafi is a good thing, so you must have missed Zombie and KIRK's posts in this thread. And judging from the way Megatron's neg-repping every bit of good news out of Libya, we know where his loyalties lie.

    Meanwhile:

    Gadhafi's Compound Falls

I just wish the media could agree on how they're going to spell his name.

If the rebels overthrow a dictator, that's great news for them.

But we still should not be involved in their affairs.

Regardless of the outcome, Obama should have kept the US out of this one.

and Poland, huh? Wonder what their angle is...

I remember many years ago he told some reporter that his name didn't translate into English anyway so he didn't care how anyone spelled it. Ergo, I say Q'Daffy..

This just shows how stupid you are.......

When I found out he was a moderate I said he should have his head chopped off. :bailey:

    :ramen:

But seriously you're stupid to try and twist a couple obvious joke posts from me into support for him as President.

So when you say something extreme, you're joking, but you take everything everybody else says seriously. And you're calling *me* stupid. Gotcha.

Also, you should be careful about presuming to speak for KIRK. There's no indication in anything he posts that he wouldn't be willing to go to that extreme.

    Extreme?

ShootER posted a joke article about Qadaffi running for the Republican nomination. I followed up with a post saying I'd vote for him and then another post after that saying that since the article says Qadaffi is a moderate that we should chop his head off.

And no where do I presume to speak for dumbass Kirk.

"a couple obvious joke posts from me" = obvious I'm talking only about me.

Okay, so right after your post is KIRK saying Gaddafi could beat "The Obama." Given his ODS, there's no way of telling whether he was joking.

Whereas I was, and you took me seriously. So we can split hairs over this all night, or we can let it go. I'm off to Netflix. You?
