Those kids are just as dead as any suicide bombing victim or mass shooting victim. You forget where I live. There's not a mosque within 30 miles of my house, the population of Muslims in this area is far lower than what it is in France. I could put an effigy of Mohammad hanging by his neck from a tree and I'd be celebrated, not killed. Were I to do the same with an image of Jesus, I might not be so lucky. Klan lynchings in this area happened within my lifetime. I have no fear of Islam, even its most ardent adherents can't be bothered to attack the kind of shithole I live in, when it means they'd have to drive so far.

That makes no sense whatsoever. If I were to fly a Confederate flag from my roof, no one would care. Again, if I were to hang Mohammad in effigy, no one would care. If I were to say on the internet that Mohammad and all of his followers were nothing but goatfuckers, no one would care. And the reason people came by that certainty has a great deal to do with Muslims storming buildings and shooting people. Or bombing marathons. Or shooting up their fellow American soldiers at military bases. Or chopping journalists' heads off. Or shooting little girls for going to school. Or throwing acid on women who don't want to marry them. Or throwing acid on their daughters for being too westernized. Or firebombing magazines for cartoons that offend them. The list goes on and on and on, and it's a list of actual violent atrocity, as opposed to people trying to pass laws, or refusing to bake fucking wedding cakes.

Maybe there'd be less Islamaphobia in the world if the muslims would stop providing good fucking reasons for it on a monthly or weekly basis.
