Sigourney Weaver is the "Defenders", villain!! http://www.darkhorizons.com/sigourney-weaver-is-defenders-villain/
For people who don't know Iron Fist, he's a Bruce Wayne type who advances so far in martial arts, it goes beyond physical, and becomes magic. His key power is his iron fist, which is he projects ki energy around his fist (you can see it glowing there in the trailer), and it's not just a super strength punch, but it's universal kryptonite, and he can punch anybody. In the comics, the only one who's withstood his punch is Hulk.
Considering we've got Luke Cage, Jessica Jones, Daredevil, and now Iron Fist tied up with bad guys, I'd consider moving the hell out of any neighborhood near Harlem or Hell's Kitchen. The per capita supervillain rate there is just way too high.
Netflix-verse and Shield might crossover somehow. http://www.darkhorizons.com/netflix-shield-arrow-verse-crossover-talk/
Finally finished off Daredevil S1 and watched Luke Cage, no idea when I'll get chance to being DD S2 and Jessica Jones, soon hopefully. DD S1 was fantastic, Kingpin really made it - nailed the issue with so many heroes, in that they're not usually that interesting, but the world about them and the villians truly can be (the Punisher MAX comics did this with aplomb) I found Luke Cage a little weak, mainly as there were so many parallels with DD S1 in the story arc, so felt a little rehashed, but was amused at some of the online responses to it (mostly: Black Pipple! Aaargh!) Cottonmouth was a much better villain then Diamondback, who felt a little meh, and was sorry to see him offed. They should really have got B D Wong to play the prison doctor, after all he was doing Gotham S2 experiments... Also interesting to see if Madam Yau will appear in Iron Fist, her "considerably further away" comment to if she was going back to China was interesting.
Can someone explain to me why ADA is such a big deal and closely held secret when LMDs are old hat in the Marvel-verse? What's the major difference?
I think the LMD reference in the MCU was a joke for the fans. ADA is the first of the real thing. I'm hoping she becomes Jocasta.
Two Shield spinoffs, "Agents Of Shield: LMD", (for Life Model Decoy) and "Agents: Of Shield: Slingshot", the latter being a digital miniseries about Yo-Yo. http://www.superherohype.com/news/3...lmd-and-a-slingshot-digital-series-are-coming
that's not technically a sppinoff, just the subtitle of the second half-season arc. Like the first was "Agents of Shield: Ghost Rider"
Started DD season 2 this week. The show is amazing. The wife and I are watching Jessica Jones one or two evenings a week. She thinks it's too depressing. I enjoyed the pilot for Luke Cage. I'll watch the rest after DD and JJ. All the shows are, IMHO, better than any of the prime time network superhero shows that I watch.
Finished DD S2 and JJ last week. Just flippin amazing TV, better than most of the broadcast superhero shows. Still undecided whether to start Luke next weekend, or do season 2 of Marco Polo.
I can't believe how a lot of critics I like were "meh", on Jessica Jones! I loved the everloving shit out of it, and was depressed when it ended. I would have binged quadruple the dose of it.
