Nope... I don't want to be a mod again. While it was enjoyable for the most part, being dragged into and affected (on board, at least) by the power games wasn't. The aforementioned incident involving Face and Tasvir was the final straw after I was left undermined and unsupported for doing what I thought was within the mandate I'd been given. Frankly, there's at least a dozen folks I'd rather see in the position than myself.
Unfortunately, if you're not willing to participate, I don't see there being much validity behind your idea. It seems sort of like calling on folks for jury duty, but not being willing to serve yourself.
hardly... I did the job-twice. Pretty sure that I had some positive impact on both policy and the flavour of the board. I also dropped my share of balls-and often issued a public apology when I did. MacArthur did his bit in WW2 and Korea, he also knew when his time had passed. Again, there are far better candidates for the job than myself.
I'm pretty sure MacArthur got canned and then tried to run for President before getting slapped away by "the party." ISWYDT
I volunteer to stage a revolution and exile all the mods to North Dakota. I can then start my own color-themed reign of terror. Teal has been taken, so I'll choose "plaid".
Your revered Lanzman invoked a little known, seldom used, reserve activation clause! In simpler language, Captain sir, they DRAFTED me!
It's not important enough to put a term limit on. I don't even know why anyone would want the job. I don't come here to work, that's for sure.
