I'd advocate Michigan and the Midwest declare neutrality on the issue and guard our own borders to keep you psychos out. I have no interest in bloodshed with the rest of you, let alone over abortion. Besides, as a member of a nation that signed NAFTA, free trade would legally still exist, and I stand to make a killing when the rest of you idiots figure out how much you need our wheels, water, and wheat.
None, I fudged the data. (Forgive me, I just worked a 14-hour shift on five hours of sleep) But Bloomfield Hills has the fourth highest median family income of any city with over 1,000 residents, and the largest outside of Florida and California.
Ah...okay By per capita income, Oakland, MI is second among Midwest counties behind Hamilton, IN. Rounding out the top ten in the midwest are Lake, IL; Ozaukee, WI; Delaware, OH; DuPage, IL; Johnson, KS; Waukesha, WI; Hennepin, MN; and Carver, MN.
Nope. Martians are Green. Zeta Reticulans are Gray. They're having their own war, somewhere beyond the heavens...[/Patrick McNee]
An interesting aspect of such a war... Oil 800,000 barrels per day average in production... It's been said that NJ has the largest amount of stored refined oil outside of the Mid east. Impressive... Most Impressive.
You made reference to a spaceship picking up garbage. Quark was a sci-fi type spoof in the 1970s. It was mildly amusing but lasted only half a season.
No. You just have to make Heck Backlash the prequel to Quark. Heck's alternate reality was created by a Borg ship that crashed in the Arctic... Besides, there's nothing new under the sun (a sentiment which is, itself, 3000 years old); that your idea has similarities to another means nothing. What matters is how well you make the idea yours.
This is the worst reason for another war between the states ever. I can't imagine anyone would be driven to secede over abortion, much less raise arms.
That last will never happen - only the tinyest sliver of extremest don't allow "life of the mother" exemptions and only a few more would balk at the idea of on exemption for permenant debilitiating physical health issues (like paralysis for instance) Strike one. Never happen. First, because the Blues are as obsessive about imposing their idea of "correct" on the Reds as the reverse. Second, as someone else said, no state is so throughly blue as to be united on the issue except perhaps tiny RI and Conn. Third, no state is willing to go through all the crap they'd have to go through to seperate themselves from the union over this issue. Strike two. Ramen said it best. "who cares baby?" It won't do it....I can't see anything that will with the possible exception of red states rebelling if the Fed courts forced gay marriage on them. more likely, apathy kills any such movement.
I'm all for abortion. It helps reduce the burden on taxpayers. And the fetuses stay crunchy even in milk.
Yeah. But take away TV and welfare benefits, and western society would demolish itself inside of a year. Come to think of it, that idea ain't half bad...... Nah, I gotta see part two of that BSG finale.
And have you ever noticed how religion is obsessed with the concept of birth, and babyhood, but despises the birth canal? What's up with that?
