Presidents can’t be charged with obstructing justice at the criminal level. Mueller could not bring charges against Trump. However a President can be charged with obstructing justice in a impeachment article. For those of you who bring up Nixon. Nixon was never charged criminally. The obstruction of justice charge he was facing was one of the impeachment articles.
Oh look........ Peter Strzok, the FBI agent from above, also interviewed: Cheryl Mills Huma Abedin Both of whom gave misleading statements to Agent Strzok and neither one faced any charges for it. And how do we know that? Strzok wrote in the interview notes what they said and then later leaked emails showed that the things they claimed they didn't know about (Clinton's server) they actually knew about. Is there anyone this guy hasn't interviewed? Edit: Almsot forgot....... Agent Strzok also was the agent who softened the wording of Comey's speech when he let Clinton get away with breaking the law. And we now know that Strozk ambushed Flynn. Flynn was an idiot. He should have kicked them out right then and there the moment he realized they were there to interview him.
Of course he isn't. He shows occasional glimmers of sanity, and even sometimes faint hints of something resembling a conscience.

An interesting take on the Flynn arrest by U.S. Attorney Preet Bharara. He made the news not too long ago after being fired by Trump. According to him, there are 3 possibilities around Flynn's arrest and plea deal: 1.) Flynn has such fantastic information on somebody that he was given a deal like nobody else has ever gotten. 2.) Mueller knows that he can absolutely prove the single charge against Flynn, so that's what he brought against Flynn. At some point, Mueller may uncover enough evidence that could bring further charges against Flynn, but since he doesn't know when or if that might be, he opted to charge Flynn now, rather than wait to see if anything else materializes. 3.) Mueller could have brought other charges against Flynn, but chose not to do so, because this would tip his hand as to who he's going after next and why. (This would be an unusual move on Mueller's part, but not so unusual that it could be easily discounted.) Preet finds the first possibility to be the least likely.
Here's something else on Flynn: https://www.politico.com/story/2017...d-nuclear-plans-whistleblower-282070?lo=ap_a1 Was promising turnaround on Obama-era paperwork against construction by his former business partners of nuclear reactors in the Middle East (in partnership with Russian businesses, naturally) whilst a member of the transition team. Allegedly his former partner got a text from Flynn on Inauguration Day stating the deal was good to go. Mueller asked Congress not to reveal this until he'd done his work, so it's possibly part of the charges Flynn has had waived in exchange for info.
So, Trump Jr refused to tell the Hill investigation what he discussed with POTUS about the Trump Tower meeting, citing attorney-client privilege just because there were lawyers present... that can't be a viable defense surely? Lawyers are forbidden from breaking privilege, but the client is free to reveal to anyone else they want, otherwise they'd never be able to confess or make plea deals...
but the odds of getting both at one move is a hundred thousand times more remote than getting each separately and that is more remote than getting just Trump because the GOP in the senate would be FINE with President Pence. So I'm not worried about President Ryan. I mean, all possible options suck, but odds are that the least-bad sucky option is Trump is removed, then Pence appoints someone not completely horrible as his VP (as unlikely as that might be) then Pence is caught out in some aspect of the fiasco that even the GOP can't deny and that person moves up. In any case, frankly, if the under 40 vote, and the Democrat/liberal vote does not overwhelm the GOP on turnout in the next two elections, you can go ahead and start turning out the lights. Trump/Pence will do enough radioactive harm in 4 years that it will take a generation or two to unwind it...if it lasts longer than 4 it will all be over before it can be fixed. I'm expecting another Great Depression within the decade anyway, between that and the courts...
Oh look....... More shenanigans....... http://www.foxnews.com/politics/201...orked-for-firm-behind-anti-trump-dossier.html A senior Justice Department official demoted last week for concealing his meetings with the men behind the anti-Trump “dossier” had even closer ties to Fusion GPS, the firm responsible for the incendiary document, than have been disclosed, Fox News has confirmed: The official’s wife worked for Fusion GPS during the 2016 election. Contacted by Fox News, investigators for the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence (HPSCI) confirmed that Nellie H. Ohr, wife of the demoted official, Bruce G. Ohr, worked for the opposition research firm last year. The precise nature of Mrs. Ohr’s duties – including whether she worked on the dossier – remains unclear but a review of her published works available online reveals Mrs. Ohr has written extensively on Russia-related subjects. HPSCI staff confirmed to Fox News that she was paid by Fusion GPS through the summer and fall of 2016.
