I don't ask for forgiveness because I don't subscribe to the idea that it has to be asked for. A man who doesn't accept regret and then goes on to commit a worse act against others is in no position to complain. The difference is I can express regret and change my mind. You'll just make excuses for the disgraceful act you've just engaged in against Garamet. It's the quality I have to reflect back on my mistakes that makes me a better person that you are, at least while you are incapable of such things.

How is a bad review of a THIRTY YEAR OLD novel a "disgraceful act" when the author told me she wanted me to critique her work and my opinion of that particular novel was already well known to her and anyone paying attention.
