I was really really hoping for the Ynakees to lose tonight, just because I hate the motherfucking Yankees.

The folks at FOX must be shitting their pants over the prospect of a Rockies/Indians World Series.

The ratings will be a bit lower since the NLCS is on TBS. But to have less than half the ratings.....:(

I like seeing the "small market" teams in there though. :)

Ah well, the D'Backs had a good season, swept the NLDS, and then forgot to do everything that got them to the NLCS.

Here's hoping that they remember it all and improve upon it next year, as the Rockies are going to be threat #1 in the division.

Kudos to the Rockies. They played well and they deserved to win. I tip my hat to those gentlemen. May they sweep the AL in the World Series!

The Diamondbacks got pretty far considering they had the worst offense in the National League and one of the lowest payrolls in baseball.

    Congrats Rockies.

If Boston makes the Series then I'll root for the Rockies. If the Indains make it, then I'll just enjoy the series without a particular rooting interest.

I wouldn't mind seeing Cleveland win since they haven't won a World Series since 1948.

I wish the media would SHUT UP ALREADY about "oh noes, small markets = small ratings". We all know that if the networks had their way, it would be the Yankees versus the West Coast or Cubs nineteen years out of twenty. Shut up and stop talking the people who watch baseball for the baseball into believing they don't care and won't watch if their own team isn't in it. Morons.

Does Boston sweep tonight, or will they be able to bring on Beckett in Game 5?

I can't believe Matt Holiday got picked off at first base in game 2. At only 2-1, the Rockies still actually had a chance. Once that momentum dies it's hard to get back. I could hear the groans all the way from Stillwater.

Pretty disappointing Series so far - I was really hoping for something competitive and exciting. I say they sweep tonight. Rockies pitchers haven't been able to handle them.

True, but does Jon Lester have the arm to keep the Rockies from getting on base?

The best team in baseball won the World Series. That's for sure.

But were the Rockies really the best team in the NL in 2007? I might say the Mets or the Padres could have been better than the Rockies, but neither of those teams even made the playoffs. The Phillies and the Diamondbacks were pretty good too, although the D-Backs were something of a statistical anomaly. How about sweeping the first two rounds of playoffs and then getting swept in the World Series? :marathon:

On the one hand, I like the Sox winning because that is the single best way to enhance grief amongst New York fans.

On the other hard, it would have been nice if the team that swept my team could have won the next round so that we could say that only the Champions could beat us.

If the Padres would have made it to the playoffs instead of the Rockies then it would have almost certainly been a D-Backs/Red Sox World Series.

    Ruckin' Fockies! Grrrr...........

I #$&! HATE the Red Sox. It was cute when they broke their "curse" (even though they beat the Cardinals to do it), but since then they're not better than the Yankees. Outspend everyone to buy themselves a WS trophy. :jayzus:
