    France!

I'm enjoying watching the Argies play, their attacking options are un-fucking-real. And Diego... who's been keeping up with his antics? He's been one of the highlights of the tournament for me! :D

The Lionel Messi to Gonzalo Higuiera connection today was incredible. Great football. Argentina definitely brought their game up to the next level today.

So far Argentina, Germany, Brazil and Mexico are the ones bringing the exciting play!

Big game for the US coming up tomorrow against Slovenia.

As an American who's been trying to watch some of the games, those damned "horns" really should go. It's a huge turn-off to a lot of people who are checking out the World Cup for the first time. I echo the sentiments calling bullshit on it being a "cultural" thing. :dayton:

If you are checking out football for the first time, and you think its been boring so far. Don't worry, most of us football lovers feel the same way.

Watch some highlights of Argentina yesterday, that will help kick start you.

And yes, the horns are a pain in the arse!

The horns? If it bothered the French then I was all for it. Now that they're probably out... Can we get rid of the stupid things? Cultural my big ol' butt.

If I'd paid all that money to go to a game and had the experience (and my hearing) ruined by that, I'd probably have to kill someone. Or a lot of someones. And then myself.

Like I said about the krauts - no great shakes. Bumming the Aussies is no way to judge how good a side is. ;)

    ^ Predictions for tonight?

I don't think the Algerians will be as much of a walk in the park as Rooney expects, and they are going to have to go for it all guns blazing, particularly if Slovenia get any kind of result against the yanks.

I could quite easily see a draw but i'll give you guys the benefit of the doubt and say 2-1 engerland.

they will get 2 past our makeshift defence and pensioner in goal, but we could easily get 3 or 4.

On the contrary. Slovenia are doing us a favour and may allow us to win the group. Algeria were awful against Slovenia they other day so I expect a win tonight. However, Slovenia themselves were pretty bad in that match so I reckon that if we win the next two games we'll win the group.

As for the USA. Well, in true NY Post style would it not be correct to say that they are current "winning" two goals down! ;) :loltears:

Or........ Algeria will see that Slovenia are essentially through and will need to pull something out the fire. A draw tonight would leave it a very much open 3 way fight for the last place (if Slovenia win).

Personally I think Algeria may be a better team than Slovenia, but either way Chiles, Linekar and Lawrenson who thought the group would be a whitewash will be proven wrong.

Maybe they are closer related to North Korea than they care to believe......

Don't get too excited. According to the commentary the USa, despite the goal, are played terribly.

What an AWFUL offsides call that takes a goal away from the US. That's a possible 2 point botched call.

Damn, well done to the USA for getting back into the game here. This round of games is already much, much better than the 1st round.
